san mateo bridge traffic is moving well. let's go back to the desk. new this morning investigation underway into an accident of a transit bus. a female passenger with a baby was injured. tara moriarty is in oakland with the first pictures of this crash, tara? >> reporter: well we are here at the oakland police department where investigators are still trying to figure out exactly how this accident happened. we were at the scene earlier and you can see huge shards of glass scattered all over the street. it was really quite an impact, it happened on the corner of 86 and international boulevard. an suv crashed into the middle of a bus and the scary part, a mother was standing right near the door and you can see where the glass was smashed. she was knocked right off her feet and luckily the baby was

not hurt. the mother suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital but we are not sure about her condition at the moment. firefighters were the first to respond, other passengers were injured but did not have to be transported. they were questioned at the scene but they are not sure if it was the bus driver or the driver of the suv. they say the accident may have been much worse, live in oakland tara moriarty ktvu channel 2 news. police were forced to shoot two dogs and now the search is on for the dog's owners. two boxer dogs threatening a small child at the meadows park. they cleared the park and cornered the dogs. officers used a taser on one of the dogs but it was still out of control. officers shot both dogs, one was killed the other was wounded. >> it was sad to hear head to put one down and we are glad

they got it under control. it sounds like the police did a great job. >> the peninsular humane society says they have been unable to reach the dog's owner and it is unclear if the owner will face any charges. the berkeley republicans plan to go ahead with the controversial bake sale this morning. the group will start the sale on the plaza. now original little the group intended to sell cookies and cup cakes with different prices based on sex. the group calls it commentary on affirmative action. however the college republicans say they will not actually sell their baked goods at different prices but they will have a sign showing different prices. they will discuss the controversial school closure lists. they recommended closing five schools next year.
