no fog at all. it is absolutely clear. you can see the towers. i bet some people are wishing for fog. we are looking at the commute on 880 northbound. that traffic is light. no roadwork here. if you are traveling this morning on the bridge traffic is light. at 4:30 let's go back to pam. oakland police are investigating a shooting that killed one man. tara is in oakland and tells us the shooting happened inside the garage of a motorcycle club. >> reporter: we are here off international boulevard where police have been conducting their investigation for about seven hours now. the east bay dragonsa club is off of 88th avenue. it happened last night about 9:45. the victim was rushed to the hospital where he did later

authorities have arrested this man. she faces three counts including assault with a deadly weapon. investigators say he was videotaped shooting into a crowd at a motorcycle festival last friday in nevada. investigators have not verified if the gunshots are the ones that wounded two people and killed jeffrey, the head of the san jose biker group. two local hell's angels leaders are accused of being in a mortgage scheme. they are accused of falsifying documents to get more than $10 million birth of loans. the money was used to buy homes for marijuana growing operationess. in san francisco a woman was arrested for smashing police carwise a hammer. police say a homeless woman

armed with a butcher knife smashed the windshield of three patrol cars. they say a man in the area took the knife away from her and used pepper spray to subdue her until officers arrived. the red cross is helping provide shelter to the several families left homeless after a huge fire in san francisco t. started late yesterday afternoon at hate and filmore. this is home video showing the fire at its peak. the flames caused major damage to that victorian. everyone did manage to get out of the burning building safely. >> we ran inside and went up to the top floor and started banging on doors and got the fire extinguishers. >> investigators will be acthat scene this morning looking for the cause.

several witnesses report hearing several poppish sounds just before the fire started. just a few hours ago pg and e crews capped an underground fire. the fire started at 7:00 last night at a major intersection in roseville. the fire is now out but crews will remain on the scene through the morning. the area nearby was evacuated. in just about 20 minutes bg and e will begin venting natural gas. natural gas is being removed so crews can pressure test pipelines in the area. people who live in the area are being warned that they will smell the gas but work is expect today continue through midnight. at anential meeting tonightthem city council will

signs inside more than 400 people packed the auditorium. superintendent says the district's resources are stretched too thin and he is recommending closing five elementary schools. >> this is a tremendous loss to our community. we have oo large school with a lot of heart and a lot of love to give and a lot of rooms to fill. it will be a detriment of our community to close it. >> when was transportation considered. some of these schools some people will have an issue with getting their children from point a to point b. >> smith is proposing eliminating seven other schools by merging them into existing schools to save about $2 million. the board is expected to vote on the plan at the end of next month. despite $850,000 worth of

showers to the north. thank you, steve. 4:43. the israeli government approved construction of 1100 new housish units. the new housing will be added to an existing jewish settlement. the move comes despite pleas for israel to stop expansion of the settlements. hillary clinton called the action counter productive. this morning president obama will reach out to latino voters during an internet forum. the president will push his jobs plan saying it will benefit latino workers and businesses. the event comes a week after the democratic national committee said it is reaching out to spanish language voters as part of the push to promote the president's jobs plan.

the defense is trying to prove that jackson took the drugs himself once doctor murray had left the room. union nurses are now back at bay area hospitals after a medical error that took the life of a patient. judith died in oakland over the weekend. police say it happen would a replacement nurse gave ming a nutritional supplement into her vein instead of into her stomach, another one of the replacement nurses brought in say they are all qualified. >> some of us were checked and most of us have experience. >> the alabama based company that supplied the replacement nurses have not issued a statement but people have issued complaints about the incident. the investigation is ongoing. so far no one has been charged with any crime.

cases of lis terria link today cantaloupe is now said to be the deadliest food outbreak. the center for disease control has said as many as 16 people have died and 72 are sick from the tainted fruit. the outbreak has been trace today cantaloupes grown biogensen farms in colorado. most of the people wheel died were over the age of 60. san francisco is considering a bill that would make it harder for miners to get their hands on alcoholism it would prohibit the sale of alcohol at self checkout kiosks. it is already a similar state bill waiting for up proval. if the bill becomes law the san francisco ban would be unnecessary. it is 4:48 and the city is moving closer to enacting a

at least four people have reported of seeing bear tracks. two of them are biologists. they say a black bear would eat the berries in the area. >> i would love to see it. that would be quite an experience. a wild life experience. enjoy wild life and you never know what can come your way. >> experts say black bears are usually quite shy. people in arizona are cleaning up after a huge dust storm this morning. it hit during the evening commute yesterday. dramatically reduced visibility and caused at least one multi vehicle accident near phoenix. nine cars and three semi trucks were involved.

4:53 is the time. back tv sal to check in on our commute so far. >> so far so good. nothing like that. traffic is moving well around the bay area as we look at some of the last pictures here at the toll plaza. it is light. we don't have major problems. you can see the traffic on hayward and union city. 4:54. and it is looking like a fabulous day coast bay and inland unless you don't like warm weather. today it is sunny side up and warmer temperatures including san francisco which is starting off at 64. i was looking at a bunch of readings. i see 63, 64, 65. it is running warm in the city. 74 by noon. 80 for a high today in downtown

san francisco and sunny and warm for everybody else. one of the rare mornings where i tweeted in san francisco where you can wake up to sunshine. sunny and warm. 4-10-degrees above normal. 70s and 80s by the coast. inland 80s and 90s. and the coast is clear. 64 hayward mountain view. 50s. mid 50s in the north bay, not the low 50s or the upper 40s as what we had a couple of days this week. northwest 3 at travis. it has wiped out the fog. lots going on. a ton to talk about but nothing to impact us today. sunny and warm weather. if there is a breeze it is out of the north which takes our

temperatures up more so. mid 90s for some. low 90s at fairfield. also santa rosa upper 80s to 90s. 70s and 80s closer to the coast. warm weather and patchy fog starts to work its way back thursday. friday increase the fog, cool it down. and i don't think much in the way of rain. it looks like early next week we'll have rain. nasa has finally figured out where the satellite crashed to earth on friday night. nasa says it went down near the crease mislands south of indonesia. few people live in the islands. scientists figured it started hitting the water about 300 miles north of somalia. a deady overnight shooting at a motorcycle club in oakland. what police are saying about a possible motive.
