we want to show you video at 2:00 when the cleanup was underway. whenever rain like this comes our way we have to clear the storm drains and even though it ends quickly it can send waters out of those drains and that's exactly what happened this morning. duplex got flooded, firefighters worked to clear out that standing water. we saw two to three inches of water and it is cleaned up now and they made quick work of it, got out of here and it is certainly one of those nights where people hurried overnight. for the folks out here, it left a little bit of a mess behind. ktvu channel 2 news. well people all over the bay are waking up to the first big storm of the season. one of our employees shot this

they say corporations have too much power and they add they ignore 99% of all americans. the movement is now active in 80 cities and growing. >> we are looking to change the way politics works in this country and take power back from the corporation. >> the san jose group plans to stay at city hall indefinitely. another group is outside the federal reserve bank where they will hold hearings on the merge of capital 1 and. i.g. direct. students will need their umbrellas and rain coats, this is last year's event and the idea is to not only promote fitness near the schools but to get everybody out there with thousands of students from around the bay area which is expected to walk or ride the bikes.

so please look out for them on the roads and crosswalks. last night east palo alto is demanding safety improvements with a six-year- old girl was killed. it is the second busiest street and there has not been enough money to install safety lights in all crosswalks. she was killed last wednesday and east palo alto's police chief talked about the investigation. we have not seen justice which means there is no justice for anybody. it is a terrible tragedy that you give up the time to do the investigation... >> the city's traffic engineer is now studying what safety improvements can be made along bear road and should have an update in two weeks.

two boys are still on the loose this morning. they hopped a fence at the byron boy's ranch at 7:00. they left in a car that was apparently waiting for them. authorities said the boys at byron ranch are generally not violent. oakland city council met debating three controversial plans to fight crime. they are considering a new anti- loitering curfew. now those proposals touched off a fierce debate among those who attended the hearing. the game injunction plan creates safety zones in troubled neighborhoods. >> they plan not to do the targeted work but they are meant to move things around, they really enhance racial profiling. >> i am fed up so if folks

don't want to look at options to make the city a safe place, ultimately we suffer the consequences. >> city council decided to send it back to the safety committee for further study. >> we have an update by an east bay private school faced with closure. winds rushed school tells us it has raised more than 650,000 dollars and they still need to raise $900,000 by friday. that would allow them to stay open through june. now parents of the students of the school have been soliciting donations since they found out a week ago that the school could have to close at the end of this months. one pledged a $250,000 matching donation. the $25,000 reward in the bryan stow beating case has

been renewed. they have extended it until january 15thth. bryan stow's children can now be added to a civil suit against the l.a. dodgers. by reducing security they allowed the attack on bryan stow to happen. the judge says bryan stow's two children cannot join the suit because they were not at the stadium at the time of the attack. they are accused of end businessing -- embezzling $1,000, they say he embezzled thousands of dollars over a five-year period. now police also arrested marco on embezzlement charges and investigators say he took $40,000 from the associations' fund while acting as the

treasurer of the group. they are searching two people's homes that left four people hurt. they were robbed in a span of about 35 minutes. police say there were similarities in the robberies but it is not clear if they are related. in both cases two men entered the home stole valuables and attacked the people inside. one was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries and the other was not hurt. 28-year-old valerie parents was last seen near the corner of waverly street and orlando drive. family members went to shopping centers, parks and neighborhoods to handout flyers. she left to meet her estranged husband. he told police she got into a blue suv that was driving by.
