the plot that included a weapon of mass destruction. this is breaking news. let's go to our washington dc news room with the latest. >> good afternoon. the justice department is holding two men accountable for and asis nation plot involving four countries. the plot focused on the asisation of the saudia man to the us. they paid 5 million to the mexican man to kill the man. two men have been slapped with several charges, including conspire ri to murder a foreign official and national terrorism.

but it's against city code. right now there's no rush to remove the protestors. there have been no arrests and no problems here. a group of occupy san francisco demonstrators held a ranch and -- a marge and ral -- march and really this morning. they demanded the release of a fellow protestors, a man known as purple. protestors say the man was waiving during the demonstration when he was arrested and he was at the wrong place at the wrong time. over night police arrested more than 100 people taking place in the occupy boston protest. they made the arrest after the protestors refused to

leave. they were worried the protestors would cause damage. president obama calls today's vote on his job bill a moment of truth for the senate. he is trying to gather -- support this morning. the president is trying to build backing for his 447 billion package but he is unlikely to over come opposition in congress. >> there are certain ideas that are cob taned in this job -- contained in this job counsel report that have received by par sin report and the reelection -- reelection is -- -- election is 14 months away. we can't wait to act on these ideas. >> he said he will try to end act some parts of his job plans without approval of the counsel.

in the wake of a tragic drowning in the waters off of alameda the fire department has been working to restart its water rescue program. they purchased two boats and tonight the city counsel reacts to recommendations from a recommendation -- fire marshall. >> well, from -- some residents say they're going to be making a big announcement tonight before that city counsel meeting in the wake of what happened on crown beach. we're here at station one, which has just received its second water rescue boat but some residents are saying it's not good enough. >> this boat here is our first boat that we got in june. it's already gone on four calls. >> the reduce strange part of -- rescue training is part of the latest move in the wake of

we witnessed two candidates to vote, chiu and rees. rees received the endorsement of the wife of the lieu innocent tant -- lieutenant governor. >> we're out there trying to generate the face because we have not -- we have knocked on 27,000 doors so far and it's been surprising how many people didn't know that there was and election and we've been doing a real good job of educating the volunteer tos. >> there's there is -- there's runs of thousands of people that don't know there's and election -- an election on november 8th and the reason i spend time campaigning was to get the word out. >> people are smot -- people who have not registered to vote have from today until the 24th. the 24th is the deadline.
