incident. the mission campus of san francisco city college is back open this morning. that's after a bomb scare. last night police found two is suspicious items near the campus on 22nd and valencia streets. a bomb squad was called out. they evacuated and searched the campus and the site was eventually cleared. it's 4:35 and there is a surprising twist in the investigation of the death of the coupetino quarry shooting suspect. yesterday the santa clara county medical examiner confirmed that sharif allman died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. he is accused of killing three co-workers and injuring six others at the lehigh cement quarry last thursday. the "san francisco

chronicle" is endorsing david chu. the chronicle believes the 41- year-old chu will enact change and create jobs and not just use the words as mere campaign slogans. correction notices are going out to some san francisco voters because of a printing error in polling place information. the department of elections says 115,000 voters received information pamphlets that incorrectly list 31 house street as their polling place. but only voters who live in the area of geneva avenue and house street in the eagle district should actually vote at that location on election day. people in brisbane are complaining about noise from flights out of san francisco international airport. noise levels have nearly doubled in the last ten years, but that's because flights have

welcome back to the morning news. the set of a new action movie featuring brad pitt turned into a real life drama in budapest. they seized more than 100 weapons. the weapons were supposed to be deactivated but they were

functional. pitt was filming a movie called world war z. a los angeles meet distributor is recalling almost 40,000 pounds of beef because of a possible e. coli contamination. they were shipped to restaurants in california and nevada between september 7 and october 6. so far, though, no illnesses are reported. many northern california grape growers are scrambling to keep mold or rot from ruining their grapes. many are bringing in large fans to dry off their vines. >> with this rainy cold weather it's pushing back har vast.
