today for the funeral of jeffrey pettigrew, who wad shot and killed last month. two officers now are still out here tonight and in last 30 minutes a witnesses confitzgerald it was a fight that led to the shooting today and somewhere in a crowd of 4,000, the killer just seemed to disappear. tonight a tow-truck hauled a single motorcycle out of oak hill cemetery and it's now a crime scene after police say someone shot and killed a hell's angels attending the funeral of the san josi president jeffrey pettigrew. multiple sources say this man gave an interview. >> it's ridiculous, especially in a memorial park. >> reporter: similary hoffman says she left before the shooting, but insists there were no early-warning signs that violence might break ute. >> there are a code of ethics

appeared to be have tampered live. live in san josi, eric rasmussen, channel 2 news. more details on parent victim, steve towson was arrest for the beating death of another man at a san josi stripclub. a jury acquitted him as well as the club's owner. towson was a close friend of the man laid to rest, jeff pettigrew, who was shot to death last month. >> we're now learn nag i prison gang leader is being charged with deaths of two people found in a burn, oakland home. police say 47-year-old henry cervantes stabbed navarette and washington because he thought had he this injured a relative. she say cervantes was released from prison last year and killed the two on his way to his probation officer. is he scheduled to ender a plea on november 8k.

occupy wall street demonstrations took place today and there was a famous face in the crowd. >> reporter: pushing for jobs, not cuts, frustrated protesters first gathered at laney college in oakland this afternoon. before they took to the streets, where the police escorted, hundreds marched, all part of the occupy wall street movement. the marchers ended up in frank ogawa plaza including a movie- star passionate about the cause. actor danny glover fired up the crowd, encorging protests to stay strong. >> people have the courage to realize it's difficult time and people have the courage that in order to win there has not a sprint, but a marathon.

>> reporter: protesters are upset about corporate greed and income inequality, but another big issue for many at this rally, education. >> tuition has gone up and it's hard to find classes and it's going to get worse next year. >> reporter: this group of students from the college of alameda say they are frustrated by limited funding and limited access. >> they criticize the poor. they criticize people on assistance. education is the one way out of that and now they are cutting that off. >> reporter: the protest seem to be growing larger and the people in these tents occupying downtown oakland don't look like they will be leaving any time soon. alex savidge, ktvu channel 2 news. and in san francisco this afternoon hundreds people took to the streets as part of the occupy san francisco demonstrations. news chopper 2 captured these images. march was peaceful and police say no arrests were made. tomorrow is the group is planning a candlelight vigil to play respect to what it calls "the death of the american

dream." hundreds of occupy wall street demonstrators marshed to times square, effectively shutting it down. police say 74 people were arrested. meantime in lower manhattan the protesters took a different approach to get their message across and dressed up. >> a lot of people dismissed the protesters saying you are a bunch of dirt bags and you couldn't get a job if you wanted, look at you, et cetera, et cetera, full stop. nothing continues after that. we shout it thought, okay, we want the conversation to continue and want to level the playing field. how do you do that? put everyone in suits. >> reporter: all of those suits were provided by an organization called "proper business attire working group." >> which collected the suits specifically to dress the occupy wall street protesters. the movement that began a month ago in lower manhattan has gone global with demonstrations in hundreds of cities all over the

her. san francisco police are asking for the public's help in finding a 39-year-old man who has been missing for more than a week. mark marvin was last seen leaving his divisadero home a week ago thursday. his car was found at baker beach on sunday. he is described as white man, and if you information on his whereabouts you are asked to call san francisco police. lawyers hired by house republics in a filing this week the lawyers argued that gay and lesbians are not entitled to the same heightened legal protection against discrimination as minorities and women because they are far from politically powerless. the filing is in response it a federal lawyer who says her shouse was denied benefits under the measure. the lawyer contends that it

failing to approve his jobs bill and now is lacking to lawmakers to pass part of his jobs package. the reverend al sharpton led a huge rally in washington, d.c. and blasted the senate for rejecting the bill say, "if lawmakers couldn't get the jobs bill done in the suites, then it will get down in the streets." he also told the crowd that martin luther king, jr. would have supported the cause. martin luther king's oldest son also took to the podium and the event continued with a march to the new king monthe ahead of tomorrow's dedication. campaign finance reports offer a snapshot of the have and have notes in the race for president. over the summer texas governor perry brought in $17 million while fellow republican mitt romney raise $14 million, ron paul estimated $8 million in contributions and minnesota congresswoman michele bachmann has about $4 million, but reports say had he has spent

oakland block party with halloween costumes in hand. officers collected all of those costumes to give to the kids at the annual aparty in the fruitvale district between foothill and international boulevards. earlier the officers picked up brooms and lepped to clean up the neighborhood there. bart police began participating in this event shortly after the fatal officer-involved shooting of oscar grant at the fruitvale station. the winner of the cox conserve awards, ocean high school senior naftali moed started this school garden two years ago and says the idea was to give students a place to learn about where food comes from and create a sense of community. >> it's great to see sort of the conjunction between the school communities and all of my friends and teahers, and also all the neighbors who walk through on the weekends. it's just great to see everybody coming out here and

project represents an equally massive investment, $27 million, a mix of government subsidies, utility rebates and the school itself, a rural community college serving 14,000 students, two-thirds of whom get some kind of financial aid. >> the primary mission of any educational institution is to provide the best quality education you can at the least cost. and that is where i think the rubber meets the road. the question could be raised is this absolutely the best way using taxpayer dollars to educate the students that would go to this college? >> reporter: administrators here agree that solar is an expensive and still evolving technology, but claim the projected savings from energy bills down the road will be reinvested in ways to improve students' educations. >> it multiplies many times over to be able to take the money and put it back into the classroom and infrastructure of the college. >> reporter: as more public colleges go solar on campus, some wonder whether such hefty investments are driven by all

. a big change in the bay area weather patterns, warm temperatures are replaced by fog, high clouds and even the possibility of a few thunderstorms. right now the maps i can show you this live stormtracker 2 some mid and upper-level clouds moving into the region. as we click over to the radar, we could have a little more coverage on the radar as we head into early sunday morning. as far as highs from today, most areas cooled off and ranged from 5-15 degrees cooler than yesterday's reads and, in fact, oakland and san francisco reached the 70s early this morning just after midnight, but still 80s towards fairfield, and livermore. all rotating around circulation offshore and with that we have the clouds in a big part of our forecast for tonight and for tonight, mostly cloudy skies.
