everybody says cloudy to mostly cloudy skies. one system helped to usher in the fog, yes, it was too shallow to help inland areas and it is out of the picture so sun breezy cooler for all and downright windy for the usual suspects. 70s inland with 50s and 60s close to the coast. here is sal. traffic looks good around the bay area and you can see 680 southbound, it looks good driving to the south bay. no major problems there also the morning commute will be looking pretty good heading westbound on i-92 and heading out to the san mateo bridge. there is a closure on the north bay and in just a few minutes we will run it through and give you more of the troubled spots

but at 4:30 let's go back to pam. a growing rat problem that is some of the issues reported at an encampment on wall street. they are threatening to spread to snow park, across from lake merit and some people moved to that second location but the city says they will not be allowed to stay. the city is also threatening to remove tents from outside city hall. here is a live picture of what city hall looks like right now. protesters have been told to clean up their act. trash is making an existing rat infestation even worse and there is reports of illegal drug use and people urinating outdoors. san francisco anger over the raid sparked a walk and they are demanding they be allowed to peacefully assemble

at justin plaza. but the mayor said camping is illegal there and he has spent more than $100,000 on police and clean up. this week marks the anniversary of the worst fire in u.s. history. they killed 25 people and destroyed thousands of homes. tara moriarty joins us with how the city is remembering those horrible events of october 1991, tara? >> reporter: one of the firefighters who fought the flames that day was out near the oakland airport and later this morning you may remember him from some footage that ktvu channel 2 news aired 22 years ago. >> i have never seen anything like this... >> reporter: he is the firefighter holding the hose there. he will be sharing his thoughts as the fire killed 25 people

as that system is falling apart it has send it locally inland we have drizzles. afternoon sun, breezy to windy and gusts are all out of the west. you can see the system clipping northeast california and it didn't hold together too well but enough to give us a strong westerly breeze so if i have can -- 50s and 60s, 70s at best for inland areas a couple of days ago. kind of a hoe hum pattern but all things show temperatures warming up by the weekend. lots of 70s today, being in fact 50s and 60s by the coast. it will be a cool breezy day

. riverside county was shut down overnight because of a deadly officers involved shooting. it happened while chp officers were responding to an accident on the 91 freeway. a man shot at the officers and they returned fire. look at the back up of traffic though. the suspect did die at the scene and the incident shut down traffic in both directions overnight. advocates for open carry gun, they are protesting a new state law, banning civilians from openly carrying guns. they are encouraging people to bring weapons exempt from the law and those are not included

for traffic. i'm sorry i would have to read my notes here, lakeville highway at canon lane and old canon road there is a closure because of power lines down. traffic is moving along well if you are driving on 80 you see left of those lanes it is being opened and they are going to to be opening the third one and the 4th one soon. that traffic looks light getting into san francisco and along san francisco on 101 this traffic looks good approaching the i-#0 split. it moved inland and yesterday it started to march

towards the west coast and inland couldn't get out of the coastal hills so it is up a couple thousand feet. clearing back to the coast, windy with gusts 13 miles per hour already 32 miles per hour in travis. an area of low pressure that allowed the fog to lift and a strong west wind, not much of a difference. west north san jose, one system moves through and we are just leveling off for today. but a lot of low clouds and drizzle, breezy cooler for all, maybe some upper 60s around the bay and near the coast and in the city, oakland and only 60s.
