plaza to union square. >> this is kutv charles. >> hundreds ever hell's angels members gathered in san josi for funeral services today to remember another member who was gunned down at a funeral for yet another hell's angel. ktvu's nora walker was the only tv reporter ahad loud inside the church service and joins us live with this exclusive report. >> reporter: ken it's all a real surreal. this is the cemetery where tausan was shot and killed today tausan was buried on the hillside where the sun just set while hundreds of hell's angels and police watched. as itnost often the word "hell" is accepted and used with such affection in a church. but then hell's angels member steve tausan was no ordinary guy. >> steve was a believer.

>> reporter: channel 2 was the only news crew allowed in the church as hundreds turned out to say goodbye to a monwho was a walking contradiction. his pastors and friends describe him as a bigger than life presence and a big heart to match. >> if he didn't like you, you knew right away and if he liked you, he loved you like family. >> reporter: tausan was attending the burial of another hell's angel member when he was shot to death at the gravesite, allegedly by a rival motorcycle member. they accompanied tausan to the same cemetery where he died. a beefed up force of san josi police kept watch in case of retaliation. >> it wasn't beyond the possibility that there might be friction within the same group based on what happened go weeks ago with mr. tausan. >> i understand the tit-for-

tat mentality, but steve said where does it end? everybody loses and then you have wives, mothers, kids, sisters, brothers, family, grieving. ♪[ music ] >> reporter: and tough men showing openly just how tough a senseless death can be on the living. now the suspect steve ruiz is still on the run and police want to find him not just for the public's safety, but his own safety. because of steve tausan's murder there could be a target on his back. recording live in san josi, noel walker, ktvu channel 2 news. we are just two hours away from a planned march in oakland by the occupy protesters set up now in front of city hall. demonstrators plan to take to the streets to speak out against the tactic use by police earlier this week.

jane hernandez is live at frank ogawa plaza. >> reporter: they are planning a general strike and, in fact, this poster talks about liberating oakland and shutting down the one percent on wednesday. in the plassa, some protesters are voicing their concerns and throwing out questions today. >> we're coming back twice as clean right now. for sure, these toilets smell a lot better. >> i got almost a broken arm! why would you touch me? >> reporter: the strike is calling for everyone in oakland to take part in a massive

in fair condition tonight. doctors have said olsen is unable to speak, but can communicate by writing notes. moore posted a picture of himself standing outside of the hospital about 15 minutes ago. earlier today the filmmaker visited the occupy san francisco camp. >> and occupy sf demonstrators took to the streets to raise awareness of their cause. about a thousand protesters marched and some wore halloween costumes. they say that the encaliforniament can stay for now and mayor lee is working with the protesters to try to keep the site clean and safe. >> hundreds of people gathered at san francisco's ocean beach for a unique protest this morning. >> tax the rich is what they are chanting and participate cheered as a helicopter had a

scene say his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. at least 17 people are dead tonight after a suicide bombing in afghanistan. officials today said a taliban suicide bomber rammed a car full of explosives into a nato convoy in kabul. most of the victims were americans. three civilians and a policeman were also killed. experts say today's attack is a major setback for nato as it start withs to drawdown combat troops. >> republican candidates for president tries to make their case in the crucial early state of iowa. former pnc senator santorum and congressman ron paul were in des moines. polls show a majority of voters there are still undecided just two months before the presidential caucus. and n-his weekly address president obama blamed republicans today for failing to pass the jobs plan that he says will boost the economy. >> the truth is that we can no

and old-fashioned city political stumping is underway. mike mibach, ktvu channel 2 news. bay area congresswoman jackie speirs is taking part in the-foot food stamp challenge to experience firsthand the trouble of those on federal assistance. they will eat on a food budget of $4.50 a day for five days. speirs's off says with the poverty rate at an historic high of 15%, the congresswoman wants to know how americans are getting along in this tough economy. . thousands of pounds of unused medication came today to get it off the streets. >> snowboarders show off today in san francisco and the event that brute out some of the sport newest names to the civic center. >> and looks like it's going to be a white halloween along the east coast and how it's affecting travel in the west

. >> some east bay kids celebrating halloween a little earlier, where else, a cemetery in piedmont, hosting the sixth annual pumpkin family, enjoying jump houses and balloon animals and each child went home with a free pumpkin. federal health officials were at an east bay library, hoping to curb prescription drug abuse and allie rasmus was there. >> reporter: clear plastic bottles with barcodes and labels and doctor's ids, all adding to a false sense of security about the contents inside.

>> many medications have different reactions and you have to be careful. >> reporter: or abuse them as recreational drugs. >> it's important to keep tout of the people that don't need it, especially teenagerses. >> reporter: and out of the hands of the illegal dealers. >> there is a black market out there for profiting from prescription medications. >> reporter: so if you have all unused prescription meds, federal officials want you to get rid of them the right way. flushing the drugs down the toilet can contaminate waterwaterways in the bay. >> we're giving everybody, no questions asked a chance it get gets rid of this them. >> reporter: the department of health and human services set up disposable drug bins at the library. it's a good idea. there is not a lot of places to dispose of drugs. >> in the first hour of the program they filled up a third of this bin. the people who dropped this stuff off said if not for this program the bottles would still be taking up space in their medicine cabinet. and peterson brought anyway

shopping bag full of medicine left over after her mom passed away last year. >> i didn't want my dad to have them. >> reporter: the bins were out from 10-2 today, so if you missed, it federal agents say check with your local police department. many also accept unused prescription medications. in walnut creek, allie ras us in ktvu channel 2 news. doctors who treat drug addiction disagree on whoa position to take over medical marijuana the american society for addiction medicine is set to meet in washington, d.c. tomorrow to discuss a report from three california members. that report recommends that california should do away with its medical marijuana law and instead legalize and tax pot just like alcohol or tobacco. the group as a whole says it's opposed to legalization. the death certificate for al davis says, "the late raiders owned died of heart failure." the certified says, "davis had

an abnormal heart rhythm, congestive heart failure." the 82-year-old davis died at oakland airport hilton. davis lived at the hotel during football season. the marin county sheriff's office ruled the death of a paralyze the teenager was a suicide. 19-year-old danny cox of petaluma crashed his car in a tree on 45010 is in marin county. investigators say there were no skid marks found at the scene that would indicate an attempt to brake. two labor actions this weekend are causing big problems for two major foreign airlines, air france strike by flight attendants forced that airlines to cancel about 20 percent of its schedule. scores ever passengers were left stranded a spokesperson tells ktvu that the strike hasn't cost problems at sfo qantas ground its flights after announcing it would lock out

three employee unions include those representing piloteds and baggage handers. qantas no longer flies out of sfo, but the strike is causing problems at los angeles international airport. the strike is costing the airline an estimated $20 million a day. some are calling it snow- tober, the weather is setting records all along the east coast and has left almost a million customers without powertoid. pittsburgh, pennsylvania, crews dust off the snow plows and gearing up forski ski isn't killington resort in vermont. and this is the snowest only stinc record keeping back there in 1869. officials at san francisco airport say people flying to the east coast should check for possible fly delays. earlier today about a thousand flights to philadelphia p- newark and new york's jfk airport were affected with

few degrees. next week we'll drop off the temperatures and introduce some gusty winds. overnight lows tomorrow morning, will not be as cold as this morning. so no more 30s. could be in the upper 30s and flirting with the inland valleys. can you see basically lower 40s tomorrows napa. san josi 48 and san francisco around 50 degrees. so former we could have patchy fog return, least bump up near parts of the coastline and as a result, a little more onshore breeze. going to cool things off a little bit. as we take this into tuesday another weather system moves in from the north. basically moving into nevada. this will bring in more cooling, but the main impacts for us is increase of the winds, especially by tuesday afternoon and tuesday evening. as a result, fire danger will be on the increase once again. there is a possibilities of another red-flag warning for that timeframe. this forecast model tries to form patchy fog coastside and a few patches into the bay, but mostly sunny skies into the

tomorrow. >> thank you, mark. well, today temperatures that didn't stop snowboarders from having a little fun. and that is having fun in san francisco. more than 20p and coming professional snowboarders took part in the city's first urban snowboard showdown. this afternoon from the steps of city hall, the boarders are competing for $10,000 cash fries. previously the 5-year-old event only happened in seattle. speaking of snow, ski season came early this year in the sierra. boreal opened one of its lifts again tomorrow. the resort official life opened up yesterday making this the shortest span between ski seasons in the resort's history of the they planning to open up against next weekend. we should know note that the resort got a start to the season with manmade snow. >> it's college football saturday and we'll have the highlights coming up in sport. >> and the nfl works with a special group of players today
