mornings on two. it is sunday, i am claudine wong and good morning, rose mary. >> its going to be slight ally warmer this day. and some of us will be slightly cooler for the afternoon. and especially right along the coastline and we expect the breeze to return to the area by late afternoon. waking up with patchy fog. we will look at temperatures in a few minutes. repairs will be needed to be made at one store front following an occupy march in downtown oakland. they have wasted no time telling ktvu, they were behind the march or the vandalism that came with it. >> we have a look at what happened. and what is next. ally? >> reporter: it started with the rally that started with the plaza behind me and some people said they were protesting what they said is excessive use of

police force. now, in the those protests, one of the people seriously hurt, scott olson. he is a rallying cry for demonstrators and this is a memorial for olson. with candles. pictures and signs in front of the plaza. >> we are scott olson. >> 500 people took part last night and there was a police presence. police in riot gear did form a line out in front of the main police station. and there were no confrontations and no arrests. later in the night, however, two hours after the march started. someone broke a window of a police recruiting station. occupy oakland supporters condemned the act. one man said he was on the act and the person who broke the window does not represent the group.

>> this does not represent what we stand for. >> whoever the president did this, we are asking that maybe, cool down. and talk to somebody. a lot of emotions in the crowd and we want to keep everything at a peaceful state. >> reporter: now the next step for occupy oakland. they are calling for a general strike. they are asking workers to go on strike in support of their cause. and they were printing out signs and this morning we have seen a few of the signs posted out here in the practices s live in oakland. ktvu, channel 2 news. a website claiming to be the official site is now being called a fake. the mayor's office said they made it up on the website. they are going to find a fake letter. like it is from the mayor. they apologized for the tuesday raid and calling the raid a violent repression. she has herself apologized for

the police reaction to the occupy demonstrations saying she is deeply saddened by what happened. iraq veterans is no long at the high land hospital. he suffered a head injury during a confrontation with police at the occupy oakland protest. a hospital spokesman tells ktvu, he was transferred to another facility on friday night at the request of the insurance carrier. nor the facility and scott olson is now longer at high land hospital. >> he is said to be in fair condition. michael moore tweeted that he tried to visit but the olson family was asking for privacy. protestors in occupy santa rosa are waking up this morning. they are temporarily allowing

them to camp out. there are some conditions. no violence. alcohol or drugs or public urination is allowed. about 30 tents were set up and it will reas the situation on tuesday. we have continuing coverage of the "occupy" protests. look for the tab at the top of the home page. we are looking at a cache of guns confist skated. this is a few of the -- confiscated. this is found on east e o street. and the man was arrested on felony gun charges. he had been harassing a 20-year-old woman. he said they wronged to his late father and stepmother. police are searching for a two people that beat a man in south san francisco. the man was driving from half moon bay when two hispanic males flagged him down. when he stopped, they attacked him and stole his wallet.

and haven't slipped into the 30s just yet and we probably won't just yet. mid 50s in oakland. 54 in san francisco. so a notable difference there. and 51 in san jose. temperatures into the afternoon could be slightly cooler. satellite radar shot is showing this trough sliding through the pacific northwest and off to the east. that is bringing back the on shore breeze. we have a little bit of patchy fog out there. we are mostly clear. by tomorrow. possibility of low clouds will and little bit better and we will continue the cooling trend. this continues to weaken by the afternoon and by tuesday, the system that slides right down the borderline between california and nevada will bring us northerly winds. they could knock out the marine layer once again and bring us the cooler weather and bring us gusty conditions. and elevated fire danger a possibility. we will take care of sunday.

the missing workers. the cause of the blast is being investigated. police officers in riot gear used pepper spray yesterday when some protestors tried to enter the state capitol. protesting is not allowed in the capitol. they arrested 20 occupied protestors who refused to leave an incompment. in nashville, police arrested protestors after they violated a curfew. some protestors did have to be dragged away. they showed up to the plaza this morning and made no arrest. the ground is shaking in turkey after one week an earthquake killed hundreds of people. >> there were thousands of survivors that spent the night in emergency 10ths. and it -- tents. and thousands more people were

mibach. >> we have this live this morning with a look at what happened. and the reaction to it. ally. >> we asked about the confusion and they said it is important to remember people and opinions that associate themselves with the yolk occupy own land yolk demonstration -- "occupy oakland." >> that said, there is a march and rally that originated here from the plaza last night. people taking place in the march said they were against police brutality and against those earlier in the week. scott olson, one of the war veterans seriously injured was a focal point for the march last night. now, they took part in the

march downtown. and police in riot gear formed a line outside the oakland police station. and there was no confrontation between protestors and police. after the march began, someone broke a window of the recruiting station. supporters and their participants condemned that act of violence. here is what they said. >> we are peaceful. you know, there are kids that say, you know, we don't like the police. and when the plus come and they are here, someone has to be like they are people too. >> they are calling for a general strike on wednesday. they are asking the workers to go on strike in support of the cause. yesterday before the rally they were printing out signs to advertise the strike. if we go back out live, you can see the signs posted in the distance. and that is supposed to happen again. wednesday this week.

>> live in oakland. >> overnight with the "objecting pay portland" movement. and most of them went limp. police carried or dragged them away to waiting patrol cars. rain and snow are not stopping the original "objecting pay wall street" protestors. they say warm clothes. rain gear and sleeping bags are helping them get through the coal. propane tanks would help them stay warm but michael bloomberg asked for them to be removed calling them a fire hazard. in philadelphia, they are braving the cold. they are taking place under tarp and sandbags will keep them from flying away. protestors said what they need are pallets. >> we are trying to get pallets

and it is up 6 degrees over yesterday. new this morning, another small earthquake shook the area around the nevada state line. the 3.8 quake hit northeast of truckee and southeast of sacramento. a 4.7 earthquake hit three days ago. no word on injuries or damage. >> storm system sliding up the east coast is blanketing a number of states with regard rainfall. >> 2 million customers are without power. we are in pennsylvania where snow is not the only problem. >> it made plowing nearly impossible. >> until we get the trees cleared off and the power lines up. we can't get the roads cleared up. >> the early season snow proved worse than anticipated. >> it is very, very heavy.
