agree change is needed but that change looks different depending on what side of the camp you are. you are be log at video of what happened last time they tried to clear out the camp. they had to call for hope from other agencies. talked to a couple of those who said they are rethinking that and the response to occupy oakland. they aren't calling an emergency and said now that it let the camp back up it's now a planned event and so if oakland wants help they will have to pay for it. >> an group is on the move tonight in support of veterans who have been hurt during recent protests. paul chamber social security live in oakland with the call for police to temper their response. >> reporter: basically was an hour walk. they are stopped here. they just dispersed. they were very happy with the protest saying was peaceful and what they wanted to do. we can look at video.

they walked up broadway and came to the police station. when they got to the station, they stood outside telling the officers about how to do a proper peaceful protest. they stood in front of thors, it was a kind of not really stair down, the officers were inside. the people on the other side and even gave the officers room. they felt like they were giving them to much so they backed up and gave them a lot of room and we can come back out live. it's over the protest is over. this is all about the veterans because two veterans in this occupy were hurt due to police. > this memorial made by occupy oakland is to honor those who served our country. one of those people is scott olson. this video shot by ktvu shows him boeing hurt after officers set off rounds of tear gas last month on a crowd trying to go back to the camp cleared earlier this day. as a result one of the chance

sisters hit olson and fractured his skull. some say it's ironic he is being remembered for an injury that happened in the country he defended. >> he was a -- ones that came home and forgotten and never cared about and that was the part of the system. >> reporter: bruce said he has sympathy for the group. is he a vietnam vet and said he served his country not for the 99 or the 1% but the entire nation. he feels that people in camps outside the hall have the right to stay. >> i'm a vietnam vet. i'm an american citizen. there are some things in the system that need to be changed. >> the other veteran injured is also -- he injured during a fight with police and they said his friends said he was hit with batons and ruptured his spleen. i talked to him. he -- he said he is fine.

both are at home at this time. they are doing well and they say they still support the occupy here in oakland. the people out here say they know they -- talked about the eviction. they say they plan to stay here but will do it peacefully. live in oakland. >> elected firms say tensions rising at oakland city hall between the mayor and the council. the mayor released a dove in a call for peace with a meeting religious leaders and she again asked the campers to leave voluntarily siting last night's deadly shooting. >> it's another example of why we need to peacefully close the camp at city hall. >> she is supposed to be the leader of this city and you know she doesn't talk effectively with those of us who are on the council. >> reporter: members say the mayor didn't consult them about her strag for dealing the protest and at least two

councilmembers say they would like to introduce a resolution of no confidence in the mayor. >> the lawyers for two people hit by a car during last week's strike in oakland are new calling for the arrest of the driver. they held a press conference. >> with the help of the citizens of oakland we are going to bring this man to justice, we are going to hold this man responsible, even if the oakland police will not do their job. >> we showed you this video the night it happened on november 2nd. the driver hit one person and then backed up and hit another. the attorneys say bart police let the driver go, didn't collect evidence and haven't talked to witnesses. at the time they said oakland police told them to let the driver go. our coverage continues on knvu.com. you can read the later from the police officers union calling on protesters to break down the occupy camp immediately. just click on occupy protest. its been a cool drizzlely day around the area.

its been raining in oakland on and off as well as across the area. bill martin is tracking the conditions. >> yeah. widely scattered showers, accumulations have been light. mostly below 5 -- 100ths of an in. . have you rain onto richmond bridge, heading up to rodeo and then showers in san leanedo and hayward. they have been moderate to light. here comes the rainfall accumulations, again tenth of an inch in concord. san jose just -- the santa cruz mountains nearly a half inch. widely scattered shower s showers will continue. we will look at the bay area weekend. let you know if there are any showers and what the highs are. >> all right. taking a live look now at the san jose airport. right now there are no delays there or at oakland international. however sfo is reporting delays of up to two hours because of

the rain. >> surprise visit to a market by a top politician could shed light on alleged abusive working conditions. new at six, robert honda is in san jose where county supervisorrer met or tried to meet with employee there is. >> reporter: we are at one of the stores in san jose where that supervisor came to as he put it investigate those working conditions, a trip the store called political grandstanding. the president of the board of supervisors showed up unannounced today. he said he came to talk to employees about working conditions. >> allegations going on for about a year that there are working conditions -- abuses going on at the stores. . >> reporter: the complaints complaints went public when four former employees protested what they called the unjust firing of 300 workers

throughout the chain. local locate they are accused of punishing those who spoke out. the store said the layoff as an economic thing. >> they are exploiting the unfortunate reductions in past. >> reporter: he said he came unannounced because the store gave out a let erin viting the public to talk to employees themselves. after talking to several of them he was asked to leave. >> management has nothing to hide and welcome people in i think they need to be true to their word. >> reporter: the store said apparently he is already campaigning for mayor. >> we won't let politicians which frankly is a pubbest of the ufcw to come discredit our good name. >> reporter: he declined to does what workers said today

but has set up a hotline for employees depending upon the response a public hearing could be held. live in san jose. >> today's wet weather didn't hurt the 92nd veteran's day parade in san francisco. drill teams, military vehicles and floats made their way through downtown. soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen also marched up market street to the civic center. only a few hundred lined the parade route but the ones we talked to said that didn't seem to matter. >> always remember each other and that's always going to be the most important thing to us. we are glad we have this opportunity. >> the parade kicks off at 11 this morning. and coming up at 6:15 on this veteran's day bay area businesses are reaching out though those who bravely served

their country. the help they are getting to find jobs. >> vallejo police say 12-year- old was killed when they were run over by a trash truck while they were skateboarding. it happened on linfield drive near chapman court. the truck driver was also in the hospital. police say the driver tried to avoid the two but couldn't stop in time. we will have more for you tonight. >> a bay area executive has been convicted of defrauding convenient easters with claim that microsoft was about to buy his business. a jury found the 53-year-old guilty on 29 counts of wire fraud. prosecutors say investors including a bay area nonprofit lost $30 million. it was forced to close in 2009. he faces 20 years in prison. on wall street stocks surged as italy and greece took steps to avoid a financial
