go back to the desk. officers moved in on the occupied encampment and the situation is changing by the minute. he is at 16th right at the edge, kraig debro, what is going on? >> reporter: about an hour ago police moved in and they gave them multiple orders to disburse and two hours ago they began cutting down the encampment. what i saw was sheriff's deputies cutting down the larger tarps and i didn't see anybody inside the tents or taps and they didn't or rev anybody. it is hard to tell if people are moving into the street but

. you can see on the left some of the tents are being taken down, hundreds of police officers have moved in late night early morning, they have issued the warning, protesters ignored several notices to leave voluntarily and now that officers are there they say to clear out or face arrest. now they are there blocking traffic, the sweat ofth -- the 12th street station is shut down and beef seen several people taken away already. we have news chopper 2 overhead and we also have a reporter at snow park where we understand some of the protesters are moving their camp and we will check in with everyone in just a moment. police have reached out to

neighbors of former penn state jerry sandusky. he is accused of abusing children and a judge ordered him to stay away from children but he lives right near an elementary school. they are taking extra steps to ensure that school children are safe. neighbors question his release. >> i think the presums of incidents -- presumption of innocence, there is a level of protection the community is entitled to. private property signs have gone up on his lawn after somebody through a sin car block. she was reportedly a volunteer where sandusky met his victims.

overhead, you can see the large encampmentment protesters facing arrests and we understand some of the tents -- here is news chopper 2 moving in and we can see heavy police activity and they are in fact taking down some of those tents. the campers and protesters have been removed. you can see and we have reporters on the scene at 14th and broadway where protesters are meeting face to face with police in riot gear and we will continue to check in with them and we will have police in riot

fear and a lot of the protesters are moving their blondings and setting up another area in snow park. at one point there was 160 tents in frank owing, they were asked to clear out and a number of tents have been taken out, but still more than 100 tents still at ogawa plaza covering the lawn area of oakland city hall. the police are tearing down the area, but people have had a lot of notice for what police said they were going to do. >> allie rasmus is telling us there have been at least 20

arrests is what she is reporting right now. she is at 14th and broadway where protesters are surroundinged by riot gear. >> at this point we have not seen any violence and we have seen some incidents in the past where police got involved with skirmishes with protesters throwing items at police and police put that with organization and bottles and police responding with the oc pellet which are high pressure air guns which shoot pepper spray plastic projectiles which i am told are very painful and sometimes can break the skin in fact that looks like tear gas

moved they are shutting down the occupied end amp -- encampment, that is where they have been holding their general assemblies where they take votes to see what actions they will take. they have been heavily involved in protests and marches where they gathered there at those steps. you can see officers taking away taps and set ups and has become a lot of different activities and you mentioned there are two people who got word of police activity gathering at the coliseum and they tweeted out and we understand the protesters called in on some help and there are even more protesters gathered this morning.

effected and police are tearing document the tents, we have been there and throughout the morning what does it looks like now? >> reporter: we are on the corner of northwest 14th and broadway and protesters and police continue behind the medal barricades. there is about 100 or so protesters and they are shouting about the police presence out here but we have not seen anybody face off. across them, they are san francisco police who are holding the line and standing their ground. there are some officers and we have not scene of any of that

deemployed. now off in the distance you can see frank ogawa plaza and about 15 minutes ago we saw oakland police go through and start to take down some of those tents. we saw them them breaking up the tables and 15 minutes before that, we watched them being led a way to frank ogawa plaza and we want to turn the camera around to our left. you can see the crowd is they are remember, they have now turned and started going a away. they are cheering in

snow park, what is happening there. >> reporter: we saw people walking by with an occupy everything sign and we are also monitoring the activity on 19th street and frank ogawa plaza is a half mile down there and if we see protesters mover into snow park, that is a direction they will move from. there are just a few tempts here, one woman who left to be part of that pigger problem and she said she is anticipating a clash and this is where a lot of protesters head, and that's one of the reasons we are closely mop touring what is going on and where we moved

on the top last, that is 14th and prod way and as you can see along line of protesters and police pulled fact and they have 20 lines and that's a mail hub for the transit and there you can see the frank and they are still doing some work down there and you should map on delays if you are trying to get to downtown oakland. they have some sort of a plan. also the morning commute looks backed up, up to 12 minute wait. if you are trying to get to the airport, southbound 101 now

everybody. there was another occasion where three people who were kneeling or sitting in the middle of the scare in the middle of frank ogawa plaza and police went up to them and let them know if you don't move you will be arrested. we have not seen anybody throw any objects in fact we thought maybe we might need them but we have not needed them at all. i spoke with a spokesperson and she told me there have been several arrests but what they plan to do is they plan to move in from the south side, it was

them, they have been held in a line. this is the middle of 14th street and several dozen oakland police officers but mostly oakland police officers in the middle of the street but frank ogawa plaza, now that the sun is up, the tents have been taken down and flattened. they entered the steps of frank ogawa plaza where they walked in and flattened the tents. i couped 2 people led away by police. those people were not resisting arrest and they were very calmly walking, there are police officers walking with tear gas cancers and so far police have not used the tier

frank ogawa plaza on the -- frank ogawa plaza on the left and it is not allowing any cars through, it is a hub there and remember the hub will be rerouted to nearby streets and the commute will be pushed to nearby hibs. we still have a crash, avoid 101 use 280 and access 101 using 380. and again at the bridge toll plaza, we have a backup 15 to 20 minutes long, no problems getting onto the bay bridge itself. lows are in the 40s. ones we get this to before on highs willen in the mid-60s.
