here is sal. traffic is moving along relatively well along highway 4. you can see traffic looks good to the willow pass grade with no major problems. also interstate 880 in both directions in front of the coliseum traffic is moving well. it is 4:49 this -- 4:29 pardon me, this is a look at the san mateo brain, no problems over to highway 101. let's go back to the desk. we begin with breaking news, uc berkeley police are now clearing out the occupied cal camp. they just arrived on the scene and telling us what is going on, allie rasmus? >> reporter: you have dozens of protesters who have been kicked

off the campus here and you can see the police are surrounding them and what they have done is they have pushed them out of the area where they were camping and they are now standing guard on making sure nobody goes back into the plaza area and what the protesters are doing, they are communicating among each other, saying this is not fair how this went down they should be allowed back in the plaza. they are obviously upset. jose and rebel were here can you tell me what happened? >> we were just sleeping in our tents and then cops came and said you have five minutes to get out. it was kind of all a rush. >> were you peaceful when they came? >> yes, we were all sleeping. >> were you expecting them, certainly they have been warning you guys throughout the

happen, will they be back into the plaza, as far as any arrests, earlier they knew of two from occupied oakland and another from occupied cal, we will check on that coming up. earlier occupied protesters in san jose took down their tents and moved out. a group of officers warned demonstrators to leave or risk be arrested or cited. they moved to across the street at the beginning of the month to avoid confrontationels with police. they were negotiating with the city for a permit but now field betrayed. >> we have done nothing but work in good faith with the city, and the city has not even stabbed us in the back but they have stabbed us in the

forehead. capping permits will no longer be given out to occupied protesters in santa rosa. starting this morning those without permits will be told to take down their tents. this comes after they rejected their permitting process saying they imposed too many restrictions. those with permits will be allowed to stay. they are hoping to shut down wall street. the occupied movement began there exactly two months ago. demonstrators are holding a series of actions today. this is a live picture, take look at the crowds. protesters plan to take to the subways and end with a rally right near city hall. demonstrators in new york say it is nonviolent but they

negotiation of pay raises. they have experienced deep cuts in state funding and can not afford to pay raises. protesters clashed with police at cal state university trustees and approved a 9% tuition hike. tuition will now be $6,000 a year. four people were arrest, and they are calling for the board to hold another vote in public next month. there is more bad news for california schools, revenues fell short of almost $4 billion. the shortfall is expected to trigger 2 police dollars in

there are also reports he was mentally ill and he believes he is part of a personal mission from god. it looks pretty good, traffic is going well on almost every part of the bay. southbound 101 traffic is going to be moving a long nicely, you may see some clouds on the bridge but it's not affecting traffic. the traffic here is only backed up for a small delay and there are no problems on the bridge. this morning if you are driving across the san mateo dumbarton bridge, it is a nice drive and it is a nice drive on 101 up and down the peninsular. that cooling trends begins, it's still rather early, increasing clouds, lower clouds

and high clouds have come in and it's not strong as far as rain but we will have our temperatures drop off and on as we go into friday. breezy and colder, that is the message and snow level will be coming down even though there is not a lot of moisture. just draw your attention to that cold air off of washington. it will give us a significant change. 30s and 40s, santa rosa coming up, look at fairfield, 47 red wood city, also 47 and with the cloud cover, temperatures will not be as cold but the north bay air is probably trapped. we will have clouds and sun in the east bay peninsular but it is a colder pattern, upper 60s to near 70s and then over the
