in yellow vests and they will did over to where the end calmment left abandoned property. you can see there is an old couch, some tarps and some tents still flattened but behind all that, you can see there are 18 tents still standing and they will be allowed to stay here. it was just a partial sweep and they started a protest for people who wanted to stay outside legally, those tents are from protesters who had permits but police did not do anything to them, because they have permits. they came to evict the protesters who -- evict the -- they came to evict the protesters who did not have

permits. >> everybody complied and left the area so we have no arrests and it has gone very smoothly this morning. they had 60 tents, however over the weekend the number the windelled to 40 tents but they have seen an increase and they have responded to more than 100 calls and in the last month they made 73 arrests at this camp in front of city hall. you are looking at the intersection where there are a number of police officers at the intersection and there are city trucks and city workers working to clear away some of the abandoned property and some of the stuff left behind some of those occupierers who did not leave the scene. though permits expire on november 30th so the city is not issuing any new permits so the program has been suspended

and it is unclear what will happen a week from now. police may be back out here if those permits are not renewed. time now 6:33 occupied protesters are waking up in what they are calling a new home. they just set up camp in the oakland library and they are here to tell us why they picked that location. tara? >> reporter: they plan to occupy this spot after seeing a list of foreclosed properties. this house behind me, the gray one is the one that just slipped into foreclosure according to protesters and this is the lawn where the tents have been pitched. there are ten of them in total. we are on the corner of 8th and linden and we have seen a lot of people coming by here honking in support. demonstrators say they have received permission from the homeowner to be here and they

are peaceful except cheering on the protesters remarking on how appropriate this protester is. >> we are not in a park, we are at somebody's house that bailed out and we got sold out. >> reporter: now the last encampment they took down was the one at snow park which happened yesterday morning. mayor jean quan said camps can no longer be tolerated because they are putting a strain on local businesses. they say they hope this idea starts to take root nationwide. they say it is a win-win, they are drawing attention to the people being forced out 99% as opposed to the bank who are doing the foreclosing. live in oakland tara moriarty, ktvu channel 2 news. a vigil will be held for a

roadside bombing. both deaths happened yesterday and we have no other details so far. a novato nursing home is under quarentine because of an outbreak. several people have fallen sick since november 6th. according to the independent journal, family and friends are not allowed to visit. residents are asked to stay in their room and neurovirus can cause nausea vomiting and other serious problems. they are blaming sugary drinks for high obesity rates in san pablo. he said san pablo low has one of the highest childhood obesity rates and they live within walking distance of vendors. they are calling for family to make healthier choices.

brian hickey is on the campus with the student's latest protest from some peaceful demonstrators, good morning brian. >> reporter: you may recall the students pepper spraying was all over the campus and i can tell you this morning students are back on the requested a. some -- quad, some 50 students continue here where they say there are 5 students per tempt some of them -- tents some of them doing homework still trying to facility work in the facilitate working in the classrooms and police spraying students in the faces in the wake of that, they are calling for a full investigation by the attorney general's office and a complete review of police procedures also calling for the

plane filled with marijuana. the plane had a broken missing nose gear which forced it to skid off and the pilot and any passengers had already escaped. they had no information this plane was even expected to land there. they are now checking the i.d.s of anybody who comes near the airport just incase somebody is trying to get back those drugs. opening statements, for the new trial in san francisco. messily and four other officers are accused of the beating at bart station six weeks before the fatal shooting of grant. they filed a civil rights lawsuit in this case. messily is expected to be in court during the entire trial and he could testify next week. well, it is a parking idea

6:51 let's go to steve. thank up sal, i had a nice tweet from somebody about coastal fog and that's when you get the rain and long nights and coastal temperatures and that fog can set in and in fact we are getting reports from brentwood, once it sets up, it is hard to bulging. by the coast it will be partly cloudy but we get high and mid- level clouds, there is the system, looks good. trying to weaken as it gets closer. it will be here on thursday and i will have that in just a second. more like wednesday evening, it could be rather me, good

traveling day and except for fog it will be sunny and warmer and our outlooks are very warm and dry and very quiet. the system is producing rain and snow, good rain up in redding, crescent city light rain up in mendocino county, fairfield 38 degrees with an 8th of visibility and fog, 49 in san francisco and our system continues to march towards the pacific northwest and it's starting to buckle and it is it -- as it does it will start to weaken. however, and i say this because of the last two systems that came in, the models were awful, they blew it. this is our futurecast model, watch how it stays today, starts to lift north wood. by today, it is long gone. our system is approaching with increasing clouds, looks good, here is wednesday night.
