-- mission for a reason. we are the 99 in spanish. this woman gave the crowd urging them to stand up and join the occupy movement in order to protect immigrants and their families. >> immigrants just like other communities have had enough suffering from lack of housing, lack of dignified jobs and healthcare. being terrorized by immigration and the police. enough is enough. >> it's a community that is almost entirely working for us. >> san francisco police kept a heavy presence during this afternoon's march to the heart of the mission district. the march remained peaceful after the rallies. one man who watched marchers arrived thought protestors need to find a more affective way for the cause. >> everybody always try to change the system.

the ports including the port of oakland. support the union if its fight at the port of longview washington. but the union says already facing heavy fines for vandalism and blocking trains. no word on whether protestors will go ahead without the union's support. fall out from last month's violent protest has reached seattle. spray painted revenge for occupy portland. also damaged an atm and smashed up bank's windows. the damage will cost tens of thousands of dollars to fix. >> supporters of the berkeley movement met today to create hand made items for protestors. got together in civic center park this afternoon. the group worked on hats, scarves and other items facing chilly temperatures in the coming weeks

and months. >> we're really happy to know they are there and we're here at the same time and we just want to send them a little bit of holiday cheer. >> organizers say they are hoping to send off their hand made crafts by december 12th. a showdown may be looming in los angeles between city officials and occupy los angeles demonstrators. the mayor has ordered the occupy camp to close by midnight tomorrow night. he said it's time for the 500 tents to come down for the sake of public health and safety. some of the occupiers say they'll find another location if theory victimed from the city hall lawn. >> investigators will try to figure out the cause of a water main break in south san francisco. we first showed you these pictures yesterday afternoon. officials say a 12-inch wide line that had been

upgraded somehow opened up. 6 homes near the break were evacuated. it is now back in service and the public utilities commission say it will repay homeowners for any damage. two people were wounded tonight in a string of shootings in oakland that police say are connected. one person was hit by gunfire in the 1200 block of 7th street short after 7:00 tonight. at about the same time a short distance away, a second man was shot near mandella parkway and 7th street. both victims were taken to the hospital. their conditions not released. several shots were fired at the entrance of an apartment building. police say the shootings appear to be related but no word on the identity of any suspects. >> investigators are searching for clues tonight of the shooting death of a man.

20-year-old ha mil ton was found. he was taken to the medical center where he later died. a suspect's vehicle has been found but so far no arrests have been made. the black friday specials had the big box retailers may have gotten all of the attention but many shoppers headed to local home town stores to shop. reports on what's being called small business saturday. >> reporter: this is a hot spot and also a small business. >> a lot of love into the product we produce. it's more of a textbook atmosphere. >> managers say they build personal relationships with their customers. >> working on a small level, you are closer to the community. a lot of our tatrons are

mom and pop store on this small business saturday. him and his daughters shopped at an independent book store near the white house. the first family left with an arm full of books including diary of a wimpy kid and a book examining america's policies. e-bay says on thanksgiving saw a spike in sales from customers using smart phones or e tablets. e-bay's mobile division registered twice as many shoppers than a year ago. and pay pal announced more than 500% increase compared to last thanksgiving. looks like retailers did get a bump. shopper track estimates sales jump 6.6%. a roshd $11.4 billion at stores and malls. economists credit

demand. midnight openings. >> a 21-year-old man remains hospitalized following a robbery and shooting outside a wal-mart store yesterday. investigators say 20-year-old tony phillips was one of 3 men who approaches a group of shoppers at a wal-mart at about 2:00 a.m. one of the shoppers was shot during a struggle for his purchases. police are now looking for two more suspects as well as a weapon. >> i need everybody to please back up. >> a woman who allegedly pepper sprayed shoppers at a los angeles wal-mart surrendered to authorities then clammed up. los angeles police said a woman sprayed a crowd waiting for x box to be unloaded. the woman was released after refusing to answer questions. she could be arrested later. 20 people were hurt in that incident. game on.

pro basketball fans have extra reason to enjoy christmas this year. the first nba games of the season are now set to be played. explains the tentative deal announced today. >> reporter: it's the agreement that comes a final deal, the first nba games would start on christmas day. the warriors facility would be back up and running with training camps starting december 9th. for the sports bar the timing is perfect. >> college ball is okay but in this area the bay area, people want professional basketball. >> reporter: representatives for the players and league said a deal was over due. >> the literally thousands of people who are department upon the playing of our -- dependent upon the playing of our games. >> the key here is our fans. >> reporter: for some

4.1% during the third quarter compared to the same period a year ago. the figure includes both imports and exports. oakland isn't the only port seeing a decline. long beach slipped nearly 14% while los angeles was off 1%. annalists say the drops could mean less from overseas and anticipation of weak sales this holiday season. californians will have to start shifting greener living now. the study by a laboratory biochemist say californians will have to switch to electric power. cars and homes and businesses will have to be heated with electricity or solar power. only way to meet the state's law by 2050. >> cal trans says a man was struck and killed by a train this morning.

a spokes woman says the victim was trespassing at the california avenue station when he was hit just before 11:00 a.m. his name has not been released. service was suspended. 320 passengers were transferred to another northbound train. an emotional fundraiser was held to help the family of a young man who was killed while walking to work. mark reports. >> reporter: in a quiet city parking lot in between sprays and washes, the memory of a young man was on the mind of memory. >> tragic. young lives taken and i wanted to come out and support. >> reporter: he was a senior in high school and a busker and food runner at texas road house. >> he was a shy guy. one of those guys who were willing enough to meet people. >> reporter: investigators say he was walking to work this week around 11:30 in the morning on

fight. ktvu has learned he is a cal fire firefighter and a marine. he is in critical condition. police are looking for the driver of a black mazda cx with sport rims and possible rear end damage. authorities say two 13-year-old boys are in custody following a home invasion robbery. a couple called deputies around 9:20 last night to report robbers had broken into their home. investigators say the robbers ran off when the victims said they didn't have any valuables. we're told relatives chased down the suspects. deputies arrested the 13-year-old boys about a mile away. being held at juvenile hall. >> tensions mount in pakistan. the dent that upset that country. >> hundreds of people came out to honor a 19-year-old marine killed. how they say he

there was an out pouring of emotion tonight for a 19-year-old marine who died defending freedom in afghanistan. live now at high school where that memorial just wrapped up. >> just ended moments ago and this was the card handed out to everybody who came here tonight. it simply says our angel warrior. he graduated from this high school just last year. and tonight it was clear how his death has affected this whole community. one after another friends told stories that made people laugh. and others that even brought tears to the eyes of

some bay area blue star moms met today to spread holiday cheer. the group's south bay chapter decorated christmas trees with pictures of military members who are serving overseas. blue star moms packed care packages to send to service members overseas. those events and the support of one another are key to getting through the long stretches without their loved ones. >> it's hard to send your child out to a war zone. we know what it's like. and just meeting these other mothers is just the most amazing thing. >> the decorated trees will stay in place in downtown san jose through the holidays. the cia is considered the most secretive department. now

the agency is speaking out about a new way to honor agents killed in the line of duty. jennifer has the story from washington d.c. >> reporter: ten years ago the first american died in combat during the afghan war. this hero was not military but rather a cia officer. so the agency which rarely goes public is making a rare request. >> i've always thought of our officers particularly since 9/11. >> lost his life when hundreds of prisoners tried to escape a northern afghanistan prison where he worked. he was in afghanistan just 16 days after the attacks. returned to the u.s. and buried in virginia leaving behind a wife and 3 young children. >> all of us have the skills and should have the desire to serve our country by being good.

this time the complete opposite. regrouping and will be a factor as we head into your sunday morning. right now on the maps i can show you this. just a few high clouds moving in. you can see the fog -- you can't see the fog developing but right around the fairfield area already reporting a quarter mile visibility. and also some fog reports right around santa rosa. but away from the inland spots for the coast a few high clouds pushing into the region by a mid to late afternoon. those high clouds still a factor for tonight and the fog we do have a fog advisory in place. this started a few minutes ago. 10:00 in place until 10:00 tomorrow morning. north bay valleys, east bay and right around san francisco bay. visibilities will be coming down to less than a quarter of a mile. so the visibility is dropping. overnight lows you
