and the investigation. >> he is in critical condition at san francisco general hospital. the victim is a 29-year-old, he's a cal fire firefighter and since it happened on thanksgiving night, many of the coworkers have come here to support his family and help them out. he's been a firefighter with cal fire for the last five years and he's an exmarine. police are investigating the hit-and-run and looking for the man responsible. and the family is asking for the public's help with the investigation. it started thanksgiving night when battle and another man got into a fight outside of a restaurant on thanksgiving evening. after the fight, he walked to a near by gas station and that's where the suspect deliberately ran him over. this morning, his coworkers say he's in critical condition with a traumatic brain injury. >> we hope he makes a full

recovery. at this time, he's in critical condition in the icu. >> this is a picture of the man police are looking for as part of the hit-and-run investigation. they believe the man you see here is the person behind the wheel that ran him over. they gave us a description of the vehicle that believe is involved. it's a black mazda described as having possible rear end damage. anyone who may have seen something related to the case is asked to give police a call or sen them a tip by text. walnut creek police found a man bleeding in front of the 1515 lounge on main street. he said he was hit in the face with a glass inside the bar. police arrested a man.

police received multiple 9-1-1 calls involving a fight of 30 people. a man was assaulting a woman during a fight. either one who witnessed any of the incidents is asked to call police. oakland police investigating three shootings that may be connected. one person was hit by gunfire in west oakland. at the same time, a short distance away, a second man was shot. both victims were taken to the hospital. their conditions have not been released. family and friends memorialize a local servicemember killed in afghanistan. >> you always called me your angel, now it's time for you to be mine. >> a public memorial held for

weak holiday season. shipping fell during the third quarter compared to one year ago. oakland is not the only california port seeing a decline. long beach seen nearly 14%. analysts say the drop could mean retailers ordered less from overseas in anticipation of slow sales this holiday season. the call from occupy oakland to shut down ports has hit a roadblock. the international long shore and warehouse union rejected the request to shut down the ports including the port of oakland. they fight against the owners of a new terminal at the point of longview. seattle detectives are asking any witnesses to come forward after someone -- vandalized a bank. they spray painted revenge on

. the jail is back behind bars this morning. authorities say that 23-year- old inmate broke free during a visit to the medical center friday night. the suspect was captured three hours later after a neighbor reported a man was knocking on doors asking to use a phone. he's been held in a higher security facility. a person stole a person's bingo winnings. she's just won a $1000 jackpot when the thief grabbed some of her cash and hopped in a car and fled. police are investigating two traffic accidents this weekend. the first accident happened on monterey boulevard near center road. a woman hit an elderly man on a bicycle, the man later died at

regional medical center. it happened about two hours later, investigators say that a woman collided with a 1955 chevy. the driver later died. friends and family hit and killed by a train are holding a fundraiser for his funeral. he was walking on the tracks heading to work. he had headphones on and listening to music. his coworkers called him a good employee and hard worker. >> people should come out and support. especially now, it's the season to be helping out other people. >> everyone in the family was close to him. it's helpful for the loss and the pain. >> a bake sale will be held

today at the texas road house in union city. 8 people hurt after an explosion. the boat was few minutes into a trip to long beach when the driver noticed gas leaking. the boat immediately exploded, 8 people ended up in the water. some were thrown by the blast. others jumped. this week marked the anniversary of the first american killed in combat. the american was not a member of the military, instead, he was a cia officer. mike span died after hundreds of prisoners tried to escape the prison where he worked. he was one of the first americans to go to afghanistan after the 9-1-1 attacks. his death led them to create the officer's memorial foundation. it pays for the education of children for fallen officers. i thought of the officers, many of the officers i describe

there's a new search effort for a missouri baby missing for two months. volunteers gathered to search for the 1-year-old. they were focusing on suggestions from a texas psychic. she posted a drawing on the vision she said she had. readers connected with the drawing with an old casino. the search did not turn up any clues. >> there's hope. i think it's all basically we're hoping. >> lisa's father reported her missing from his crib after he came home from work. lisa's mother admits to drinking heavily in the hours before they went missing. neither parent is a suspect in the disappearance at the time. a missing 1-year-old was found in a field under a bush. a man reported her missing yesterday morning. they considered the story to be suspicious, he met the child

and her mother at a party and took the child. he has been charged with kidnapping and child abuse. the girl's mother is in jail for child negligent. dr. murray will be sentenced for involuntary manslaughter in the death of michael jackson. he faces up to 4 years in state prison. they have been urging the judge to give them the maximum sentence saying he has shown no remorse and placed the blame on others. the defense is asking that he only receives probation, saying he's being punished. they want the man charged with the assassination of kennedy to be released. they say there's evidence that it proves that he was innocent. they say two guns for fired and his gun was not one that shot
