hit with the chicks. and imagine a skateboarding stuntd in a car. ride along with the crazy guy who try it is. we begin our show on this tuesday with some incriminating video. now this comes from hillsboro county, florida. what these boys are doing have gotten a lot of people up in arms. these guys videotaped a night out at several different stores. a walmart, an albertson's, a toys 'r' us at the mall, dollar stores. you can see them purposely knock over displays, knock things off of shelves. >> and they're not really concerned with hiding their faces, either. their faces are pretty clear. >> yes, steven, they do show their faces pretty clearly in the video. we have chosen not to show their faces because these guys are under the age of 18. >> they just defense over a whole stack of books.

>> they defense over the book shelf and then knocked the books over and now they're putting the books back up. >> i was trying to get a book. >> i'm so embarrassed. >> they're also not the only people at the store. how are they not concerned with the safety of other shoppers? >> at one point in the video you hear someone yell for security and the guys run. of course after it was put on youtube people started passing it around. the redditt community got ahold of the video, posted it on redditt and they got outraged over this video. they've reached out to the hillsboro county police, to local news organizations and they are trying their best to make sure that these people are punished for what they're doing. that they're treated the way that they need to be treated for disrespecting property the way that they did. and with something like this, we want our viewers to talk about this on facebook. is this a harmless prank performed by teenagers?

what should their punishment be? go to our facebook page, facebook.com/rightthisminute. back in march of 2010, two guys were driving through seattle, washington. the seattle police department cruiser got behind them. here's some of the dash cam video from that night and it was recently released. you see the car up ahead, that perez and oregon are in. going a little fast and that's what the initial stop was for. there's a discrepancy between the police report and what we're seeing on the video. police claim that a car did not stop at a stop sign and he went right through it and there were pedestrians in the area. >> it looks like he stopped. the suspects eventually pull over and seattle police get a little aggressive with the guys. especially verbally. >> [ bleep ] [ bleep ] hey, you're [ bleep ]. >> the most audible voice that we're hearing is an officer. >> okay.

an internal investigation came back saying that the officers claim they were only using this type of profanity to deescalate the situation with quote known gang-bangers. >> don't suck my [ bleep ] here, right? [ bleep ] i know you dot>> to gt the video that we're seeing is attorney james egan, he's representing these two guys that were in the car. james, tell me briefly what your clients were accused of doing that night? >> miguel was in fact speeding, i'll stipulate and agree he probably was speeding. >> were the driver and the passenger taken to jail and charged with anything? >> the driver was taken to jail and charged with negligent driving in first-degree. one charge of negligent driving was dismissed. >> what was the worst thing that was said to your clients on this night? >> miguel said you guys are making me look real bad. and the offerser said -- >> you took care of that the second you crossed the city line. >> what did miguel do wrong that the moment he crossed the city

line that suddenly he looked bad in the eyes of these officers did do your guys have previous records? >> yeah he spent time in prison for two years. on the date of the incident he was doing nothing wrong other than speeding. >> last week the department of justice released an 11-month investigation that claims when seattle police officers use force they do so in an unconstitutional manner nearly 20% of the time. why release the video now? >> i opened the paper on friday and i saw that the department of justice findings came out and i saw that chief diaz of the seattle police department said show me the evidence. and at that point i was happy to oblige. >> the only thing that's [ bleep ] [ bleep ] dragging you down the street. call it mike young has done something incredible. he's turned a big loss into something that helps a bunch of dog lovers. mike young works with the website, pilots and paws. he helps find dogs that are set to be put down, in shelters, and

gets them to people who are rescuing them. >> save some more dogs. >> it's okay, bo. it's okay. >> what got mike started was he had a german shepherd named conan and conan died while going through cancer treatment. so he wanted to give back. so far he's helped get 100 dogs to their forever homes on 20 flights that means more than one dog per flight. and that plane is not a 737. >> it's cool to see all the dogs hanging out in the back of the plane. digging it, looking out the window. the one dog was sleeping in the front seat of the plane. >> basically what this guy does, he will take these dogs wherever they need to go. they could be at a shelter in des moines, iowa and he'll take the dog to somebody that wants to rescue them in maine? >> the way it works is he finds out where he can fly them in his area. and then he will transport them to their forever family. >> that's kind of cool. because i would think some people who may want to rescue a dog and then say well, we can't get to them so maybe we can't

have that dog. so it's kind of neat that he's able to do that and make that a possibility for people to rescue the dogs. >> what do you guys think of your new addition to your family? >> absolutely beautiful! we love her. >> what a cool, cool guy for doing this kind of thing. >> taking pets around the country. >> thank you, you actually made our christmas. ♪ this is the first time ever that a pygmy hippo has been caught on camera in the wild. they are kept in captivity. but in the wild, this is the first time they've been able to catch one this was taken at the zabu national park in liberia. how big is this thing? >> a pygmy hippo is about 300 to 500 pounds. and there's only about two and a half feet tall. >> who is taking this footage? >> this footage was captured by the zoological society in london

in partnership with two other organizations trying to protect this species. it is an endangered species. there are less than 3,000 of them left. because of pygmy hippos being hunted for food and trophies, their teeth are used as trophies and sometimes just killed because they cause damage to riverside gardens. so people just kill them. >> aww. ♪ >> the pygmy hippos just live amongst the regular-sized hippos? they all co-existent together? >> they are not, they are relatives of the nile hippo, which is what you're talking about. but they're more terrestrial than the nile. >> they prefer to be on land. and they're physically a cross between a pig and a nile hippo. >> they're kind of pudgy. >> pretty short and stout and -- he's a cute little bugger, though, i would like to see him in my garden. >> a cute little bugger huh? >> he is!

australia this video is coming to us from gwn 7 news in australia. this guy smashes his truck through the hannen boulevard shopping center and he pulls out the atm from the shopping center. goes on to drag the atm 160 feet and then smashed the thing open with a sledgehammer. he did it all in less than five minutes. apparently he's also seen on surveillance video the night before early saturday morning, preparing and kind of casing out the joint. you see him here, he's using the same sledgehammer to remove one of those little barriers there. that he was then able to take his truck and you know, smash it from one side of the shopping center to the other without you know, hitting one of these things. >> where in the world does he go to sledgehammer open the atm without at least one person driving by? >> it looks like in the parking lot, because the atm was left behind. >> they're probably thinking okay, it's fine, it's bolted to

the ground. it's inside a mall. they probably never looked around and thought, hmm, somebody could drive their truck straight through. >> i've never seen anybody actually bust the atm open. it's like, it was a simple sledgehammer that got that thing open. norway is one of the richest countries in europe. but there's one staple item that they can't seem to get. they have a butter shortage. we got this story from the "telegraph." a very rainy summer interrupted the feed production for some of their cows. and therefore, they were unable to produce as much butter as they normally would be able to. and they're not part of the european union, so they're unable to import butter at a fair price into their country. so people are freaking out. because it's right here at the holiday time. and people have been trying to smuggle butter in from places like russia and they're putting out a huge warning to the

wildlife rescue. in apparently in costa rica they have a lot of power lines that are unprotected. and a lot of the monkeys are swinging around and they grab power lines thinking they're branches and many of them are electrocuted. well, this animal rescue place gets them and treats them and they say 95% of them don't survive past the first five days. >> awww. >> i had no idea there was such a problem with power lines in costa rica. >> one of the things this wildlife rescue does is help inslate some of the power lines so the monkeys would be okay. when todd went out there he got to see the people who rescued the monkeys and see them climbing all over each other once they've healed there are many orphans there that have started cling doing humans. >> they tell a great story of charlie. charlie was electrocuted, they didn't think he was going to make it, but he did. he had some of his fingers amputated if you're a monkey, you need those fingers to swing around and grab stuff. when he went back out to the

wild, they said usually monkeys are very territorial when it comes to food. particularly the males. they said that because he can't be as territorial as all the other males, all the female monkeys like him. so he's got six females. because he's more, he's a kinder, gentler monkey. >> maybe the male monkeys will learn something from little charlie? learn how to be nicer, less territorial. >> i don't think it's going to work. it would be nice, but -- >> same rules don't apply in the animal kingdom. >> they don't apply in the human kingdom, either, nicholas. i've got a story for you, guys, that is sure to inspire. look at this. this is daniel rodriguez, he's training to get picked up by a college football team. daniel is no ordinary guy. he is a former army sergeant who was actually injured during battle. he served both in iraq and afghanistan. he's 23 years old now, but when he was 21, he was in afghanistan and he was injured. he got hit with shrapnel in both

legs, he said he was peppered in the neck and had a bullet fragment hit him in the shoulder. now daniel played high school football. and of course, loved it. football is one of his, one of his loves in life. but he also made a promise to a friend. one of daniel's best friends died alongside him in battle. and he promised that friend that he was going to try to walk on to a college football team after he served in the army. so that is exactly what 23-year-old daniel rodriguez is doing right now. and on "right this minute" he joins us from stafford, virginia to talk about this quest so far. daniel, i understand that you made this video just to send to college football teams. but now it seems like it's getting passed around and viewed by all sorts of people. so dell us about the response. >> i've been getting emails from people that i have no idea who they are. random text messages like people telling me thank you and you're an inspiration. from all over the world.

>> you were injured in the war and then you're back and you're doing quite an incredible workout. tell us about how long of a workout you have and all the stuff you do. i mean you had like a 45-pound weight chained to your waist doing some type of push-up. >> as far as injuries go, i mean i still have effects, from shrapnel in my leg. but i'm petty much 100%. >> before we let you go, an opportunity to send a message to college coaches out there who are thinking of taking a chance on you. what would you say to them? >> i would say to them that i definitely think i would be worth their time. i just want to prove that i'm capable of playing and i want to benefit any program that gives me an opportunity to do so. a coke machine that gets magical for the holidays. but what's inside? >> ta da!
