the golf course. now investigators say the fire started in the garage and spread to the main house. nobody was hurt but the flames caused extension sufficient damage -- extensive damage. it is still not clear how the fire started. it was the latest in a string of fires in santa rosa on saturday. they say it appears to have been caused by holiday lights but nobody was hurt in any of those fires. drinking and driving appears to be the cause of at least two overnight crashes in the east bay. in the first den one -- first incident one driver crashed in oakland square. firefighters had to shut off the water to the line. police arrested that driver on dui charges. in a separate incident, a

driver slammed his chrysler into a pole in the area of 150th and freedom avenues. police arrested him on suspicious of dui. one family in santa clara is making an emotional plea after a heartless crime. last week somebody broke in their home and made off with most of their christmas presence. they believe they also stole their be loved doing. his disappearance is making it a painful holiday season. >> the last few days watching my daughter cry, every time she looks at a picture, watching the video she breaks down and cries. >> please give my dog back, he means a lot to me, just give him back. >> anyone with information in this case is asked to call the

sheriff's office right away. they rescued three people from a christmas fire. it started at 6:30 last night. firefighters say a garage was on fire at a three story home. three adults were trapped inside but were rescued and investigators believe it may have been started by a cigarette. a san jose man is under arrest accused of stealing his money. they say he got into a fight with an officer and was tasered. pearce then punched the officer in the face. pearce is facing felony this charges on an officer along with several other charges. it is likely to be the third busiest shopping day of the year. some people are done but some people will be using their gift

dinner for many people who lost their homes. she happened to notice them standing outside. she is a volunteer working with needy families. he underwent lifesaving transplant surgery. daniel murphy received a body part from a man who was shot and killed last week. his family said he was planning a career as a merchant marine. then the family members said he suffered brain damage after opening day on dodgers kids yum. after it they repeatedly asked bryan stow if he was okay with it. he was back on a feeding tube following a recent infection

a 23-year-old college student in oregon was told by a doctor she may never walk again. she is now beating the odds thanks to a surgeon. she was diagnosed with intradural coma, she had one surgery and was told afterwards her surgery was inoperable and would be paralyzed with in two years. she would not take no for she would not take no for an answer and she went through surgery to remove the tumor. they say the tumor may not return. a toddler is thrown from a second story window. what his mother did that has police investigating, stay tuned for more news.
