i can't come in. >> the manager is saying that we close at 8:00, it's 7:30 the people who are in there have to be done by 8:00. you can't come in the store. >> it's a move so they can go home right at 8:00. i don't blame this guy, it's 7:30 on christmas eve and these guys want to go shopping? i don't blame this manager. enough, already. they've been open all night long, 24 hours. they open at midnight on black friday. i'm sorry, these people want to go home, too. you know. >> i understand what the manager is saying. but i can't exactly say i support his decision to not let them in. >> these are advertised hours of operation, you can't refuse service. because you know, it's 7:30. >> it doesn't say anywhere to be here by 7:30. we need a couple of items before christmas. it's 7:45. i've been talking to you long enough. i i could have got my gifts. >> i agree, but what are these guys doing out at 7:30 on christmas eve?

sorry. it doesn't matter why they were out shopping on saturday night for christmas gifts. the bottom line is they wanted to do that for whatever the reason was. and they weren't allowed to. and they had all the right to it. >> we contacted walmart and they say they're investigating the matter. and if people want to see the whole video, this he can go to facebook.com/rightthismight and weigh in. some crazy weather hit melbourne, australia, over the holiday weekend and videos just lit up the internet. we of course found some of the best ones. and i want you to take a look at this. listen to the sound of that golf ball-sized hail. hitting the roof of this house. and you can see it just bouncing off the lawn. >> my goodness. you know this can do some serious damage. >> the person is holding the golf ball-sized hail. >> and what's so funny is it's summertime in australia. they got a white christmas. >> a different kind of white christmas, that's for sure.

they had thunderstorms, flash flooding. a tornado touched down. emergency services received over 3,000 distress calls. you can see some of the flash flooding that's going on. it's just running down this kind of river surrounded by all of this hail. >> look at the guys in flip-flops walking through it. >> here's footage of floodwaters coming through. the hail caused damage to roofs, skylights, windows, things like that as the torrential rains came in, then people's houses got damaged because there were holes in their houses. >> the dents on the roof of the cars, broken windows -- amazing. >> this guy had the right idea. he found out about the hail coming, you see him in his hat, he's taking out sheets and thin carpets and putting them over the hood of his car, over the roof of his car, trying to make sure he doesn't get all the dents over people are getting. we've seen people in australia and new zealand make the best out of some bad weather over the

past few months. check out this little guy. unexpected little guest comes out and has a little fun in the hailstorm. >> when you're a kid, this is the perfect christmas. what else can you possibly ask for? >> i'll take instead a foot of snow that you can ski and stuff over the hail pelting me in the head. but he had a good time with it, anyway. if you guys found $10,000 in cash at the airport on your way home, what would you do? this man is walking through the airport on his way back home to colorado -- >> there are two caesar's palace envelopes, $5,000 in each envelope. >> what would you guys do? >> i would turn it in to the police. >> yeah. i would turn it in, to. >> you have to turn it in. that's karma. that comes back to you. >> well that is exactly what mitch tried to do. >> i wanted to show my kids the right thing to do. >> so he tried by calling the airport. >> they didn't do that, it was against the rules. >> what? >> what's against the rules to turn in some money?

>> he tries to return the money. he calls the airport and apparently, they would break the rules if they took his name and information and tried to figure out who this money belonged to. >> somebody calls and says they have something, they can't do that? >> at that point would you still continue to find the owner of this money? >> yes. then you call just the las vegas police. >> he was very persistent, he kept calling the airport for two weeks and finally someone realized all right, you're trying to do something good. they said, i can tell you that a man in el paso, texas lost the money. >> right then, at that was the guy. so hown. the money ended up belonging to ignacio marquez from texas. he gave him back all $10,000. >> it felt so good to be able to get it back to the guy. >> he will, he will, life will reward him. imagine the challenges and hardship of sailing through the

antarctic. now imagine being trapped there for more than a week, stuck in the ice. the russian ship "sparta" has been stuck in the ice for a week. the ship busting through the ice is the south korean "orion" on its way to help out the stranded "sparta." >> why is it stranded? >> "sparta" struck some ice below the surface, it put a hole in the boat, it started to list. there's 32 guys on board the ship. no injuries reported yet. this is the first boat that's been able to get to the guys. what they plan to do to rescue the "sparta" is to transfer some of its fuel load from one side of the boat to the other so it can sort of right itself. and it will be able to get it out. >> it's not sinking? >> no, it's taking on water, but salvageable.

a truck with its headlights on pulls in and then you can see what they're after. there are 12 fire hydrants that these fire hydrants can be up to $3,000 apiece. and these were all donated by wagner county citizens. four guys get out of a four-door pick-up truck and they take the fire hydrants. >> you're kidding me. >> what do you do with a fire hydrant. do you take it to a metal recycler and cash it in for the metal value? what do you do with it? >> the fire chief of the fire department seems to think the guys are going to sell these to a scrap yard. >> this is such an odd robbery. >> and it's so evil. because really, it's a volunteer fire department. they were going to use these fire hydrants. >> to improve their town. their city. >> their community, absolutely. this happened on november 17th. and they just released the surveillance video, because they really want to catch these guys. insurance money will cover the

it's got a 670-horsepower, v-8 corvette engine in it and it is just beautiful. for a sports car, it's a large car. so the guy is cruising up the mountain road, of course there's a couple of damsels in distress. >> look how the dar opens. >> it's like a delauren. it's a gullwing hatch. look at the size of the back seats if you eer ridden in c convertible, you know that the back seats are built for like a 3-year-old. >> i've got to have this car. >> it's kind of a boutique dutch manufacturer. they expect to make 20 of these cars. it's been in development in pictures have been leaking for about the last three years. but it's supposed to be coming to markets next year.

walking on water. ♪ so just because it's after christmas doesn't mean that the christmas videos have stopped. in fact, so many more have started to pop up on the web and this is one of them. you see kids and their parents, they're all traveling in spain on span-air to their destinations for christmas. all of a sudden they hear one of the flight attendants make a pretty awesome announcement. new mexico game and fish released this video of a decoy that they set out in a field. it was a robotic deer. that they set up trying to catch illegal hunters. guys that don't have licenses and aren't following the rules of hunting. >> look at the deer's head moving. it's like rrr-rrr. it looks like its neck needs to be oiled. >> it looks real from a distance. they did manage to catch two suspected illegal hunters and they searched the car and found another illegal carcass in the chers that the game and fish caught were driving down the road and jumped out of their car and shot from the road, that's also illegal. because it's dangerous. >> okay. that part i get. danger. safety for people. >> not safety for the deer. they're not concerned about safety for the deer. >> i know, safety for people. because people driving down the road, nick. i get it. have you ever heard of the band, suicide silence? suicide silence is an extreme

>> a really, really close call for a family in nebraska, take a look at the suv parked next to a fuel pump. smoke and fire starting to come from the back seat. the fire started in the back seat of his suv. and quickly spread throughout the vehicle. no injuries reported on this. you can see the family trying to get some of their valuables out of the car. the problem is, they left the doors open. >> when the doors are open, you're feeding it with oxygen and air. the best thing to do on something like this is to shut the doors, if you can. >> my first thought would be just to get out of the way, because there's all that gas. even though the fire in this vehicle was right next to the fuel pumps, very little chance of any major catastrophes happening because of all the safety compression in modern-day fuel pumps. the firefighters showed up and started dousing the pumps with water. but they then switched to foam. >> any time a vehicle catches fire, it burns very quickly and there's not a lot you can do to

save it. >> what causes such a big flame to grow so quickly in the back of a car? >> i think a cigarette is a safe bet. it spread so quickly because all the composite materials, the synthetics inside a car, the plastics. the foams. this is a volunteer fire department and they're going to use this video, training to show the other firefighters how to deal with a car fire. >> a silver lining in everything. there's always something positive that comes out of something negative. when you think about weddings, you generally don't think you're going to be served comfort american food like hot dogs. >> what? >> hot dogs at a wedding? >> hot dogs at a wedding. >> it sounds like your kind of wedding. >> i would have hot dogs after my wedding, but wait i already had my wedding. >> if you reinvent the concept of american foods, you might be able to serve it at a wedding just like so. >> i found this story on the "huffington post" and it made me hungry. they created more artistic mini

could look like a giant. >> i thought steven had the day off today. it sounds like his train of thought. >> i take that as a compliment. thank you very much. on christmas eve, the keller family were putting their kids to bed when they were roused about i such a clatter -- caused bay deer in the master bedroom. >> santa was in the wrong room. >> this took place in bountiful, utah. >> it's in the room! it's in the room! >> they think the deer tripped and fell into a window well. it went into the master bedroom, trampled over some furniture and ended up in another room where all the christmas stuff that she had organized was on the floor. >> what happened to those gifts? >> well, at the end of the story, the boxes are trampled, but the gifts were fine. they called animal control to say hey, there was a deer in the house, could you come help us out? for two hours, they said they all took turns taking pictures in the doorway. >> he's actually looking at this picture. >> which is probably a little

the office i would hide it and the other question we tossed out to viewers is the best way to stick tissue paper in a gift bag. >> do it with the nice little point, stick it in your bag and you have these little edges that make it look really nice. >> you want to see my way? you take the tissue paper by the center just like you do and you jam it down in the bag. and then just pull out a couple of corners. look at that. same thing. >> and clearly, i won that hands down. look at some of the these comments. knick is awesome. nick is the best. nick has the best tissue paper-wrapping technique. wow, you know how to wrap a present. that was so great. >> what facebook are you reading from? your imaginary facebook? >> yes. >> i see beth's name in all caps with a lot of exclamation marks after it. which leads me to believe, i think people, liked her way. >> a lot of people did like the way that you do it. but here was the way they approached your way of doing
