for wednesday. >> reporter: the director got his first look today at damage caused to the school by a fire. that fire caused $8 million in damage to four buildings. including one used by the school. >> what we lost is our school library, one of our art studios, our cafeteria, community meeting space. >> reporter: it is due to water damage and blown out windows but it cause the school to lose 50% of its face. they halted renovations. >> postponed start of school a day so we could bring our staff together tomorrow. >> reporter: the good news is every teacher will have a room.

killing a san francisco father and his two sons. tony bologna and his two suns were shot and killed while in a car in traffic in 2008. edwin ramos thought one of the boys was a rival gang member. he says a passenger in the car was the one that fired the shot. that person hasn't been found. he pleaded not guilty. chp arrested more drunk drivers this year but the numbers of deaths were down. 195 people were arrested for dwi. two people died. there were 5 deaths last year. the trend isn't just for the bay area. statewide arrests are up and traffic relates deaths are down. >> now that the holidays are over people are heading mome. we are live at san francisco international airport where
