nice drive northbound and southbound. that is a nice looking drive approaching the 880 split, let's go back to pam. the search continues for the driver who fired shotat an undercover police sergeant. that gunfire led to a high- speed chase across the east bay. alex is in san leandro where it all gun, good morning alex. >> reporter: he opened fire from just a few feet away and the shooter managed to get away and the search is on. police say an undercover narcotics officer was doing surveillance in the neighborhood and started tailing a suspicious car, suddenly he pulled up next to the officers and the driver fired several shots into the unmarked police car.

increasing clouds, there is going to be really heavy totals to the north. we will have increasing clouds and the bulk of the rain will stay in the north bay. now things are starting to juice up but the atmosphere is really dry, now south winds ahead of this will give cloud cover and that means some temperatures in the 40s. is santa rosa 4 and remember two days ago they were in the 20s. it looks really good but unfortunately the bar met rick pressure is up showing rain in the north bay and slow process by the time the system gets to the santa cruz mountains it will fall apart.
