member of a gang looking looking for retaliation and mistook the family for rival gang members. >> there is a lot of evidence that will be presented. hundreds of witnesses. pictures. all of that will be tied together and the evidence will show he did kill the brothers and their father. >> reporter: they were victims of what the prosecutor says was mistaken identity murders. he was not supposed to live but he did and he will testify. the defense attorney told the jury he was the driver and that another man who has fled the country pulled the trigger and that he was as shocked as anybody. >> my client is not the individual that killed those people. >> reporter: he has a criminal
