points ahead since then. and hispanic leadership network they are expecting front runners, newt gingrich and mitt romney will dominate launching attacks at each other while rand paul and rick santorum will try to get some attention to their campaign. newt gingrich and mitt romney are heading the race. 32% are for mitt romney and 34% are for newt gingrich. 11% are for rick santorum and 9% are for rand paul. apple is accused of endangering the lives of workers. they reported a factory in china killed four people injuring 18 others. laborer agents said they -- activists say they work seven days a week live in crowded

next court appearance. we have new developments in this new domestic violence case. >> reporter: this is a story that keeps changing by the day. two weeks ago we learned there was another woman coming forward with allegations of physical abuse and another girlfriend filed a report. mirkarimi has always been a vocal advocate on gun control and if convicted, he would not be able to carry a gun as sheriff. and his new lawyer is lydia from berkeley and she will be here for today's hearing where ross mirkarimi is supposed to ask the judge to lift the stay away order which currently bans

him from meeting with his wife and son. mirkarimi faces charges stemming from an alleged dispute with his wife. yesterday prosecutors released their witness list and also his ex-girlfriend claims he abused her several years ago. a neighbor called police to report the alleged incident with lopez. now an hour and a half before ther whatting a bump much of supporters are supposed to be there to support mirkarimi including his wife. right now republican presidential candidate, newt gingrich is attending a tea party meeting. newt gingrich has tonight's gop debate in a virtual tie with mitt romney.

our four candidates are campaigning in florida. a meeting against the police department is expected to conclude next month. he claims he was routinely bypassed for a promotion because he was african- american. the city denies that misconduct. they are expected to take the stand and the suit seeks unspecified damages. they are threatening unless they quickly comply with changes from nine years ago. oakland police chief howard jordan must consult with the monitor before disciplining officers. both major -- mayor jean quan said a take over may not be necessary because they intend to comply with the reform. he beat a man in his 60s at

stamford shopping center. it happened near the macy's men's store. he attacked and robbed a man as he was putting jewelry in the trunk of his car. he was later treated and released and one of the attackers had a gun and that armed suspect described as a latino man in his 30s had a goatee, was dressed all in black and witnesses saw all of the robbers escape in a black dodge minivan. if you have any information call palo alto police. well they will be focusing on pipeline safety and the forum is for 2010 and last year's explosion in cupertino, assembly men in those districts will include speakers from the california public utilities program as well as executives.

. here is a quick look at some of the top stories. sheriff mirkarimi has a new attorney. late yesterday, robert wagner announced he is parting ways with mirkarimi and he has a new lawyer taking over. they vented anger over impending layoffs, ranging from union workers to occupied demonstrators. the city of oakland has to cut $28 million from the budget to offset losing redevelopment money. president barack obama and arizona governor janet brewer had some tense moments when the president arrived in phoenix and they got into a heated

discussion right there. he said he was not happy with governor brewer and how she described an earlier meeting between the two in her book. now police just issued a statement trying to get riders and the community involved. it says thieves are stealing your property and costing you money. ktvu channel 2 news claudine wong is in oakland right now where one took place. claudine? the man dozen remember when bart responded after the theft was spotted. you can see there is barbed wire on the fence and there are signs warning people about the dangers of electrocution and this problem is not going away so bart police have issued a statement asking for the

webcam, from the state meteorology department is showing a foggy view. we start off with foggy conditions, very mild, a lot of 50s and temperatures -- they are not going to cool off any so we are sitting between 52 and 56 he isel specially along the coast and you will hear fog horns and i know i have heard a couple of reports. we are go thing nothing significant as far as rain is delivered. very foggy conditions but it is a dry week ahead so 50 to 57 on the lows and by noon, some sun, some fog, 54 to 60 with a mild pattern and 57 to 67 degrees and probably a lot of mid-60s because lows are all in the mid- 50s and it's taking a little
