what he said is there what a period of time he was using his hands to choke her but then he went and got a ligature to use that to kill her. >> reporter: later he said the father robert came through the door. >> he came and grabbed him from behind, believed that the father never saw him and didn't know he was being attacked until he was attacked and he was also strangled. >> reporter: she said he then put the bodies in car and tried to light it on fire. the couple had adopted him from foster care. relatives said he had a black belt in karat experience had been associating with the more violent elements of occupy oakland. he is being charged as an adult. if he was charged as a juvenile he would be released in later than age 25.

video. >> san francisco police are asking for the public's help in a possible kidnapping case. police got a report on saturday that two men beat a woman and forced her into an suv. they were reportedly driving a maroon land over. police searched but don't find them. the woman is described as between 18 and 22 and was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt. >> a arrested protesters expecting to face a judge today got a surprise in court. we are live in oakland where leaders trying a new way to deal with an issue that's been around for months. >> reporter: police and the mayor say they will use a tactic a stay away order to battle the movement. today in a courthouse the da's office asked a judge to give out 12 for people who appeared in court. more than 80 protesters who took part in the demonstrations were scheduled to have their day in court today but just

minutes. >> reporter: a lot of big news. cnn has projected romney is the winner, they won by a major lead and this will be huge for his campaign moving forward. i want to dip in and show you live pictures of romney's headquarters here in tampa. lots of supporters waiting for him to take the stage and hear what he has to say about what has been a roller coaster. you just have to think back ten days ago when gingrich got the huge upset in south carolina. then the candidate as live heard in florida. there was a dead heat in the polls. romney only just took back the lead after some strong debate performances and more personal attacks really against gingrich. we talk about gingrich and also some live pictures his campaign headquarters, it's a far different story there. you can seat rooms kind of quiet, pretty empty because he will take a major hit from

that. he has started talking about the states that come ahead in february. the early contests. he is flying out of here right away he said he is headed straight to nevada but even there he has been lowering his expectations saying that romney is going to be competitive there as well and pretty hard to beat. we will have to see what happens. >> live for us there in florida. again the polls were showing that romney is the winner in the florida primary. the two -- the economy and essentially able to be elected. they want someone they think it beat the president in the fall. >> we want to take a quick look at the top candidates head quarters in florida. the scene in romney's head quarters in tampa, lot of happy people there waiting for romefully to come up to the podium and speak. now we flip over to a live picture from orlando and the headquarters for gingrich, even though he lost he has said he is in this for the long hall.

warning lawmakers california could run out of cash in just four weeks. controller adviced lawmakers that immediate action is needed toddle with the $3.3 billion short fall. he recommends a mix of borrowing and payment delays to cover the seven week budget gap window. he said the problem is due to over spending at the end of last year and lower than expected tax revenue. >> new figures suggest the new year hasn't brought much optimism to people. according to the conference board the confidence index fell in january to about 61. that's down from almost 65 last month. january's drop comes after the index rose at the end of last year amid finds of improving economy. americans have become more worried about their incomes, rising gas prices and overall business conditions. apple went to another record high today. the company stock closed at more than $456 passing

company reported that bookings on its other cruise lines are down about 15% compared to last year and bookings are also down on the kosta line. >> the mayor broke ground on a new terminal with help. the state-of-the-art terminal will replace the current one there at pier27. it'll about used for public viewing during the america's cup race and the open for cruise ship business in november of 2014. the mayor said it'll put more than a billion dollars into the city. >> this project itself, will reflect 600 workers, start -- it's a 92 million-dollar project to demolish and rebuild on the james herman international cruise ship terminal, something that we look forward to. >> the late james herman was the long time president of the international long shore men union. >> despite the ground breaking for that terminal that will serve as the headquarters for the america's cup raise the race itself could head for

and that weak frontal system just to the north of us is sort of starting to make its presence known. the winds tweak and fishermen know this that pilots when it starts to go south that's indicating normally of a pressure change. the lower pressure coming in, sadly enough it's not a big strong pressure change. we had a lot of south wind. we have a lot of -- it's just barely goes going south. the clouds come in, by late tonight early tomorrow morning light sprinkles possible. i think more like drizzle, the great highway, san francisco, highway 101 into san rafael and nevado you will have a little slick. wipers probably won't go that hard but wet on the roads and slick as you travel into work tomorrow morning, until about noon. i don't think it's a deal breaker if you have outdoor plans, if you teach pe and you have the kids outside you may have issues because it'll be wet out there.

yeah, how do you like me now? i'm rolling seven digits deep. he has been trying to educate his viewers about campaign finance law. today on capitol hill house republicans proposed spending $260 billion on transportation program over the next four and a half years. not much to reduce the huge backlog of projects nationwide. the legislation is expected to pass and the house transportation committee on thursday. this is no earmarks in the bill which is the -- the last bill over six thousand and we are giving states the flexibility to determine how to use the money. >> the senate is working on its own transportation bill that would spend $109 billion over two years, barbara boxer is a co author of that and she said the senate version would include a plan on how to pay for the increase.
