facebook hopes to raise $5 billion and most share holders will have little say in the operations. >> a tiny percentage of voting shares. the majority is held by the insider at facebook. >> reporter: the filing indicates mark zuckerberg will control 57%. unclear mow much his shares will be worth, he could be worth as much as 25 to $30 billion. he and others will pitch the company to investors. >> to decide what price to offer the shares at and that will depend on the reaction they get on the road show. >> reporter: facebook's revenue grown from $777 in 2009 to 3.7 last year. 12% came from zinga. that is a key source of

sickening 150 students. ktvu's rob roth is live with the outbreak that is to blame for canceling classes. >> reporter: so many students and staff here at st. ignatius college preparatory have come down with the virus school is shut down till monday. >> reporter: crews were busy disinfecting st. ignatius college preparatory. >> all of the places where students will come into contact, tables, chairs, doors, walls, desks. our floors. all those areas will be cleaned. >> reporter: yesterday 150 students called in sick or went home. >> bath rooms smelled. tough situation. after school i am walking by and there is throw up everywhere. >> reporter: the number of infected swelled to 300.

with so many people sick the school decided to shut down for the week. >> it would have been difficult to have school. we could open, we believe we are clean enough to open but we want to ensure, you know, the health of our students. >> reporter: officials say it is not what people might call the flu but most likely the norovirus. 20 schools with students have become ill. >> because it is contagious, if you are around somebody infected with it it is likely you will become infected. >> reporter: officials caution people to wash their hands thoroughly after using the bath room and stay home if you are feeling sick. rob roth, ktvu channel 2 news. tonight we are getting a

look at a video showing occupy protesters inside city hall saturday night. police released the video. it appears to show protesters opening the doors and pouring inside. the video shows protesters grabbing an american flag and lighting it on fire. >> they are intent on causing damages and breaking out windows and assaulting people, our job is to respond. >> when you put people in uniform and -- that is called military tactics. >> today members of occupy said they plan to sue the city for police violence and unlawful detention. oakland made history today, becoming the first city to name a african american woman as fire chief. >> this is not just any department. this is my fire department.

protest and -- with the way it handles the occupy protests. a group is using logos to advocate for medical marijuana. ktvu's robert handa will show us what is lighting up this feud. >> reporter: we are at one of the larger pot clubs in san jose. the fight means a lot to this owner who feels caught in the middle. >> reporter: this san jose medical marijuana was inspired by the owner. he is a former marine and believes it is okay for groups to use logos and symbols connected to veterans for foreign wars. >> i feel that it does help me.

i don't have all of these problems other veterans have. i think that it is a good thing. >> reporter: they received so many complaints. while no longer called the vfw it will not stop using the pow reference. some say that is insulting. >> that is offensive because those guys are the ones who can't speak for themselves. >> not all veterans use pot. whether we need it as a taste or as a medicine, that is besides the point. >> reporter: he says the war over pot is the point. >> we are prisoners as long as it is illegal. >> reporter: the original logo is not protected by copyright so the military says it may

sue. they say they will not stop using the logo till it is legalized. robert handa, ktvu channel 2 news. republican presidential hopeful mitt romney caused a stir with this remark doing an interview today. >> i am in the race because i care about americans. i am not concerned about the poor. we have a safety net there. i am not concerned about the very rich, they are doing fine. i am concerned about the heart of american who is struggling. i will take that message across the nation. >> asked to clarify his remark that he is not concerned about the very poor, he said they have a safety net. >> now, let me say something here. i am fed up with politicians

dividing americans against each other. >> in reno, newt gingrich responded to what mitt romney said. newt gingrich said he is concerned about all the american people. he says he will keep up the fight for the nomination despite a second place showing in florida. nevada holds caucuses on saturday. ktvu's ken pritchett will be there. president obama today asked congress to provide more help to u.s. homeowners. >> it is wrong for anybody to suggest the only option for struggling responsible homeowners is to sit and wait for the housing market to hit bottom. >> the president was referring to a statement by mitt romney that the housing market should hit the bottom before it can recover. in virginia, president obama outlined a plan to allow more

homeowners to refinance. observers say it faces an uphill battle. president obama will return to san francisco on february 16 for a fundraiser. a rally is scheduled. tickets start at $100. the president's last visit was in october. more people in california, 1-5, are registering to vote without a party affiliation. ktvu'sericktvu's eric rasmussen is -- ktvu's eric rasmussen is here now. >> reporter: let's look at contra costa county. 20% with no party affiliation. santa clara 28%. in san francisco, look at this, 30% of voters registered without party affiliation.
