hello, i'm beth troutman, and we've been searching the web all day to find great videos so that you don't have to. so let's get started "right this minute." imagine if you saw this coming at you. we've got the narrow miss behind the log roll. one teenager is killed while other teen's fate hangs on a piece of video. this moment was a key piece of evidence. hear the decision just handed down by a jury. want to track down someone you met on a plane? >> how actually would i try to find her? >> meet the guy whose own experience is helping other people hook up. what happened with the lady that you met on the plane?

in reverse, started backing up. the wood in the truck missed the police chief's car by four feet. >> wow! >> that was close. that's amazing that he was able to see the truck coming and put it in reverse and get out of there in time. did he notice the truck was going too fast for the curve? >> he said as soon as he saw it coming, he noouf it wknew it wa be bad. he wasn't hurt but he did walk away with a few tickets. took a hit on the wallet for sure. i want you to look at this cell phone video that was just at the strf a homicide trial in albany, new york. this was just released by the albany times union after a great deal of consideration. the guy you're seeing in the middle of your screen in the blue track suit is 17-year-old tyler rhodes. the young guy you see here in the plaid shorts with the white t-shirt is jala vander horst.

if you listen to the video, you start to understand that they're there for a fight. >> yo, yo, put the knife away. >> you heard somebody say "put the knife away." >> at one point he says, put the knife away. use your hands. >> put the knife away. use your hands. >> right here i'm going to pause soou can see wt's goingvanderh another man in the striped shirt in the center. and this is rhodes on the right. and this moment that you're seeing right here was a key piece of evidence in the homicide trial that just happened. this moment shwaib is doing what they call in basketball a pick. you know what that is, right? >> when you sort of stand in somebody's way so one of your teammates can get around. >> exactly. and prosecutors say that while he's restricting his movement, vanderhorst is stabbing rhodes in the heart. >> oh, man. >> but this guy in the middle,

he did this on purpose? >> according to a jury, yes. the verdict just came down. and this guy in the middle was just found guilty of first-degree manslaughter. now, the crazy thing is is right after rhodes was stabbed in the heart, he chases after vanderhorst but then later collapses and dies. >> oh, my. >> now, vanderhorst, the alleged stabber, will stand trial in march. >> this culture of violence is just out of control. on "right this minute," we have seen many robbers stealing the craziest things like christmas lights. well, this guy decided he was going to steal a glacier. >> to sell, like, glacier water? >> that is exactly right. he stole five tons of the glacier in chile near santiago with the intentions of selling it in the city for ice to be served at high-end bars and restaurants. >> there's a market for this?

like i'm sorry, i only drink my tea with glacier ice. >> apparently there is because according to reports, he was planning on selling this ice between $6,000 and $7,000. >> but why is it illegal? >> this glacier happens to be inside a national park. and it is one of the fastest shrinking glaciers. it's shrinking at half a mile a year. >> you let one guy do it, everybody's doing it. before you know it, there's no glacier. >> he took a boat for four hours out to this glacier because there are no roads to it. he loaded up his boat with blocks of glacier ice, loaded it onto a refrigerated truck when authorities saw him. they saw a big refrigerator truck driving through the national park and they're like what's going on here? tourist groups do go to see this glacier. and some of the captains of the tour groups will take some of the ice and serve drinks on the boat. >> why would you tell people? it's glacier ice. >> i don't know if you know, but that's glacier water. >> i'll give you $10,000 for it.

of garbage. >> it is not made out of trash. it is made entirely out of car parts. hyundai commissioned a puppeteering group called folded feather to challenge them to use only car parts to engage their own creative expertise, which is puppeteering. >> when i'm drawing and designing the initial design drawing, i'm more interested in a character. >> i see. i see. >> so they created parts using heads like foam, panels. >> a puppet like this is controlled. physically this is challenging. this is a weight issue. >> two members of this puppeteering group, oliver and matt, had only two weeks to complete this project and present it at the hyundai headquarters in germany. i think this is actually pretty cool. ♪

i think at some point in our lives we've met someone, and then after you meet, you think, i had a connection with that person. why didn't we trade phone numbers? ♪ well, there's a website for that. it's called we met on a plane. it's for people who have been on a plane, made a special connection with someone, didn't get their phone number. and you're thinking, you know what? i've got to track that guy down.
