in egypt protesters clashed again today. the election to replace hosni mubarak has been scheduled for june. but now it might happen one month earlier. tensions have been high following riots at a soccer game that killed 70 people wednesday. the american embassador to syria left on a decision to close the embassy there. they evacuated in the middle of escalating violence. the u.n. claims 5400 people have been killed as a result of

sea world. it names 5 orcas as plaintiffs. lawyers say they are being treated like slaves when they are forced to perform daily that parks. sea world lawyers want a dismissal. project has run into a funding problem. according to the chronicle, the $1.1 billion product is $60 million short to begin phase two. that is due to start within weeks but financing hasn't come through. transportation officials are working with the transportation commission and caltrans to get the project completed. supervisors will decide whether to put a new storm drain parcel tax on the ballot.

parking violaters in san francisco have something in common with violaters in new york city. paying the highest fines in the country. according to a study, the fine is $65 in both cities. it compared 40 major u.s. city and san francisco has the third highest hour parking rates at $4.25 in high demand areas. san francisco high tech company is making a move. mayor ed lee said the deal gives the firm the potential to double its work force and stay in the city for years to come. >> we want them to start and stay and grow. as a result we are evolving our

two preschoolers. alexia aliki bogdis turned herself in to police on saturday. she faces 5 counts of child cruelty and four counts of battery. she is accused of slapping a boy and twisting another's wrist. she is out on bail and scheduled to enter a plea on march 1. high school was locked down after a custodian appeared to spot a weapon out of a back pack. deputies apprehended 2 dozen students, they had brought nerf guns to school to play a game. school officials said no guns, real or fake are allowed. a three judge panel will issue their ruling tomorrow on california's prop 8, banning same-sex marriage. ktvu's christien kafton is in
