suspects are in the hospital after a police shooting in caster valley. it happened near the busy intersection of centre street and grove way. news chopper 2 was the first on the scene. the trouble began when two detectives from berkeley in an unmarked car pulled over the driver of that red mercury. >> we decided to take that person into custody and during that time the police officer was pinned between the unmarked vehicle and the suspect car. >> he was wanted on a warrant and no word on his condition at this time. the police officer who was pinned suffered serious injuries. overnight, underground electrical problems kept pg&e crews very busy.

powell's home for assume are advised visit. she said she could smell gas and feared for the boy's lives. the call was categorized as routine instead of an emergency and when crews arrived to the home was already in flames. two teachers were arrested on molestation charges and reopens with all new staff. they will spend almost $6 million on hiring new staff including teachers, cafeteria workers at the elementary school. in the meantime detectives have uncovered 200 graphic photos of children. police believe one of the accused photos may have abused more than 500 kids in five years. they pled not guilty that he tried to rape a redwood city teacher. the assault happened last year.

the student held the teacher at knifepoint until he was interrupted by another teacher. he will sign on to a national settlement over foreclosures. the deal would require banks to decrease homeowner's mortgage balances and provide money for people who have been forced out of their homes. in exchange, bank of america jp morgan chase will be released from further liability related to the mortgage scandal. a former announcement is expected today or tomorrow. if you go to the beach, there are some strict new rules to abide by. the county is violating and if you violate the new rules, you could be found guilty. the idea is to protect

shooting in caster valley. investigators say two berkeley police officers in unmarked vehicles were trying pull over a suspect in a red mercury. >> we decided to take that suspect into custody and during that time he backed his vehicle which pinned a berkeley police officer between the unmarked vehicle and the mercury car. >> reporter: a woman told us she and the suspect have a daughter today and identified him as 48-year-old steven moore. she said it is unclear he was shot. >> he is not a violent person and i know he did not try to hurt that officer. i know they should not have shot him. >> so we put in a call to the hospital to find out their whereabouts and the status of

both men, we know he suffered serious injuries to his hand and legs. i hope i will have answers to questions on mornings on 2. oakland police are searching for three men who robbed a home and pistol whipped two men. police say it is not clear what was taken from the home. the two victims were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. two young boys who were also inside the home at the time were not hurt. three san francisco police officers recovering injuries they suffered during a violent confrontation with a suicidal man. it happened yesterday evening in the south of market area. the man attacked the officers after repeatedly trying to get them to shoot him. police were able to subdue the man who is now undergoing an evaluation.

580 eastbound near grand avenue san leandro, the car flipped over at 5:00 this morning and they spotted it at the grand lakeshore. they found this car, some people were injured and taken to a nearby hospital. it took about an hour to do that. this is the downtown san leandro exit and right now it's all open and traffic is recovered. i mentioned the bay bridge and the backup has a little added but it is nothing unusual. moving along, taking a look, that looks good in both directions northbound and southbound. 6:39 let's go to steve. very good morning, i painted a pretty picture and you might feel better heading

they are leasing a place that plans to have 400 workers move in by summer. matilda, mckennaly avenue went into default last year and ever since bars and shops have you everred from low foot traffic and ever since apple's presence will change it all. they may add more prestige to the area and maybe bring in some other businesses. bank of america plans to cut 450 jobs in concord as it shut down some of its operations there. all the jobs are in the customer service fraud and claims unit. workers were notified. they are looking for ways to cut 30,000 jobs across the country to save $8 billion a year. time now 6:48, sal how are
