david stevenson is live in san francisco with the unusual find during a routine stop off for the ship. >> reporter: that is right. federal officers today said they seized a sizable amount of cocaine from a cruise ship docked here >> under the stunning golden gate bridge. >> reporter: its billed as a family friendly cruise ship but officers say what they found on board the aurora was anything but whole some. >> in the bags he had seven kilos of cocaine. >> reporter: we have learn that the ship seen here in this promotional video was the site of two drug search and seizure. it arrived during a worldwide tour. >> it was during a normal interview of a passenger as we normally do when they come in, we talk to them, we ask them where they are from and what

they are bringing in and based on that interview there was a problem with the story. >> reporter: that led to the arrest of an australian national after inspectors say they found seven kilos. >> we did a field test and it tested positive for cocaine. >> reporter: agents say the search and seizure of another cabin led to more cocaine cocaine and the arrest of two . it was in a briefcase under their bed. >> reporter: customs inspect others won't say if the cases related or where the drugs may have been headed but they say they found 13kilos. about 26.8 pounds, worth at $915,000. the ship continued on its course after the arrest. >> its been years since we have had any type of seizure on a cruise ship. that's unusual. >> reporter: the media relations department didn't return calls. the cocaine cases are now in the hands of immigration and customs enforcement and the

department of justice. they declined comment today. reporting live in san francisco, david stevenson . >> the cruise ship set sail from the united kingdom on january 4th and made several stops in europe, and mexico before arriving at pier35 in san francisco. one. the worldwide cruise is set to return to the uk on april 12th . >> supervisor is said she is seeking help for addiction. she said she checked in to a recovery program last weekn. a statement she said it's a fine line to walk between private and public life but i hope everybody will understand where that line should be drawn. this just days after she was reportedly attacked in a motel by an exboyfriend. >> today prosecutors filed a new motion in the domestic abuse case against the san

different way to celebrate valentine's day. want to show you a live picture, well we just talked about that story. let's get to another story here. it's a yearly valentine's day protest that led to arrests at the city hall this morning. . >> after supporters were turned down for marriage licenses, 9 group held a sit in at the city clerk's office. police eventually moved in to arrest them. it was a week ago that an appeals court found a ban on same sex marriage uncongressional. >> mylar balloons blamed for a pair of power outrages, one happened near foothill in oakland at about 10:45 this morning. a woman said one of her balloons floated newspaper to a power line and caused the transformer to explode. it was a similar story in san francisco at market and tenth

street at about 8:45. power has been restored. >> a manhunt is still underway in vallejo tonight. police are looking for two gun men when opened fire at a nail salon. police went door to door interviewing witnesses. the 2-year-old daughter of the owner of the salon is in stable condition. four adults were hit in the shooting as well. >> next then you know all the bullets started going crazy and we yumed in the bushes and got out of there. >> police say a man inside the salon returned fire. he was arrested for being a felon in possession of a gun. bart revealed a new plan today that it says will help officers get to know local passengers. they used to ride twice a shift, now they will ride three times and bart said it'll add a 4th trip eventually. they are dividing the system into five zones and assigning teams to each zone. >> there is confirmation about

one of the victims who found in connection with the so-called speed freak killers. ken pritchett live telling us more bones were found today. >> reporter: today the sheriff's department did say that another set of remains had been identified, pleiomery through the use of dental records, that brings the number to two and both of those remains were found in a neighboring county. here at this dig site, which is about a mile from where we are standing here under a stand of trees, people were working all day. we learned today a thousand bones and bone pieces have been found. this is video shot today of the dig operation on ranch land. 300 bones were found here over the weekend and another 700 bones today. >> we found purses, a coat, shoes, jewelry, personal items. >> reporter: they are digging

at an abandoned well led by maps drawn by a death row inmate. the maps led to two dig sites in another county where remains belonging to a 16-year-old missing since 1985 were identified today through dental records. at the other site it's not clear how many were buried here in the well . none of the remains have been identified. >> we have people that are -- at the morgue working on the remains we brought. >> reporter: they will use dna to link the bones found with victims but there is no concrete list of victims. the two men are believed to have killed 20 or more people in the 80s and 90s. a hotline has been set up for families of missing people to calm. >> last time i checked we were at a little over 50 phone calls. >> reporter: investigators will seek dna from the family of missing people who they believe may be connected to the case and that it particular time

>> marijuana clubs may have won the battle but the war is not over. new, robert honda joins us in san jose. two hours ago the city council took back its ordinance to limit medical marijuana clubs. >> reporter: medical marijuana clubs fought hard to get the city to back off from new restrictions about pot but may find the victory also a set back. john came to the all american cannabis club to pick up pot. when the city council took back its ordinance that would have limited the number of clubs to ten and forced them to grow it on site, shannon was relieved. >> i'm encouraged by it. i'm finally seeing some adult behavior from our leadership. >> reporter: the club owner the city backed off but is worried because the legal limbo kept them from activity

cracking down. now with san jose waiting for clarity from cases before the california court,. >> i think the plan is they are going to try to shut down everybody they can, while they seek for clarity. >> reporter: the mayor and police chief said that's right. though the clubs legal in california under proposition 215. >> taking back the ordinance we go back to a year ago which means all of the clubs in san jose are operating illegally. they aren't permitted under the zoning code. we will focus on those disablements causing us the most grief, around schools, neighbors are complaining about activity associated with it, that's where we will focus. >> reporter: hearing this, john is resigned. >> you establish the bar, we will meet it if there are people that don't meet it they should be eliminated. >> reporter: it could be a long anxious time for many clubs because there are at least four legal case that could impact the decision. officials say it could be at least a year before they take

nothing like last year. nothing what you would expect for february in the bay area. it's a very mild pattern. there is a chance for a sprinkle in the bay area but no big deal. the thing i'm tracking the strong winds that are gusting to 27 miles an hour. near 30 up around point reyes. the winds kicking up. the highs from today on the mild side. highs tomorrow will be very similar. lots of 50s and low 60s. a weak weather system sliding to the north when it does is drops snow in the mountain. they could get six to eight inches of snow. the problem, it's on the wrong side of us. it's out in the central valley. we are on the westside of the storm. the eastside that's here will get all the activity. that low will go down the sacramento valley. you -- usually doesn't happen. usually they come off the water like this. you will see what i'm talking about. tracking going, it's a cold one. it's flying. there is goes down and -- it'll get in that valley and go down

the central valley, maybe bring a sprinkle out in parts of the bay area but nothing that will have a major impact on tomorrow other than it'll he chilly. overnight lows chilly tonight. we will see a lot of midand upper 30s, some frost possible in the wind sheltered valley. tonight the clouds increase, the shower chances very light, late tonight because it's all going on here, we are on the -- just the weak back side. you look at the long range. seven tomorrow it picks up showers right to the east of us because that's where the system will be and newspaper the sierra nevada. into wednesday you see the clear, as you get into thursday and keep watching rain. friday, little rain shows up friday afternoon and then showers to the north. long range model keeping us dry. try to get us wet. again it's just -- small stuff. tomorrow morning slight chance of a sprinkle, mainly east of the bay area, the mountain travel may be slow because of
