family in june of the same year to say she would be home soon and never arrived. a woman thinks she was almost a victim of the speed freak killers. heidi adams said years ago she was driving on a country road when a blue van started chasing her. she pulled up to a stopsign that a man came at her car carrying what looked like an axe handle. >> i just want to they to tell this story. they didn't care, they were so brazen. they were going to get me and they didn't care. >> reporter: she said traffic parted and she was able to speed away. she said it was only recently she saw a picture of what one of the men looked like at the time and then realized he was the man coming toward her. >> police are investigating a girl's report that a man tried to kidnap her as she walked to school police say she described him as african american.

he had a scar, dreadlocka. she said he had a square earring in his left ear. she said he grabbed her from behind but she broke free and ran away. >> the air force is investigating a crash landing by one of its jets near sacramento. a press release said one of the t38talon jets was practicing touch and go landings and take offs when a main landing gear blew out and cross winds caused the plane to go off the runway. the pilot wasn't hurt. it's a two seat plane. the air force uses to train pilots and give them required practice hours to stay certificated. it's a former air force base used for commercial and general flying. >> the city of san bruno said pg&e broke of negotiations with victims after the deadly pipeline explosion that killed eight people and destroyed 38 homes.
