thin. >> reporter: they were rushed to the scene as investigators tried to figure out who shot a man on his bike as he road down market street. >> went they went outside we realized somebody got shot. >> reporter: crime scene technicians worked to find out information as the market owner got back to business. a man was found shot in his car and was conscience when he was taken to the hospital. >> we got a call that there was a victim suffering a gunshot wound somewhere in the area so my officers located him and sent him to the hospital. we don't have a lot of information but we are still investigating the case. >> reporter: officers were trying to investigate a shooting at the corner of 44th and international where a group of people fired on a passing car. everybody fled that scene and that was at 9:15 p.m. p.m. p.m. just a few hours -- 9:15 p.m.,

that was just a few hours after just days after eight people were injured. this violence does not come with easy solutions. >> everybody has to be involved. >> reporter: police say at this point it does not appear these crimes are connected which makes them harder to solve and the trend harder to stop. in oakland claudine wong ktvu channel 2 morning news. >> the first shooting happened on international boulevard. two hours later a man was shot on davis street. another man was hit at 4:00 a.m. and a 8:00 a man was gunned down at 24th and market street. despite this, the new anticrime program is working.

home. a friend came by at 7:00 this morning, they saw the body and called authorities. we saw police question a man put him in a patrol car and drive off. witnesses say if that is not relative to the case we don't know how he died but we spoke to a neighbor a short time ago. >> we see an all full lot -- an awful lot of home break-ins. there was one in berkeley the other day and it is quite scary. >> reporter: it was a 78-year- old man an apparent victim of a homicide. the u.s. military is trying to figure out what caused two helicopters to collide during a training exercise killing seven marines. it happened over the chocolate mountains at 8:00 last night.

the crash involved a super cobra attack helicopter and utility chopper. the aircraft were from camp pendleton and california and six marines were based there and the 7th marine was reportedly from yuma. the bay area is in for a summary day. a wind advisory is in effect for the north and east bay hills until 6:00 tonight. the strongest winds are expected in the hills of alameda and contra counter counties. we will have the full forecast coming up in ten minutes. crews are about to be cleaning up some disturbing vandalism that police are calling a hate crime. it happened at the union church and live where you have been

he some very warm -- some very warm temperatures, here is a look outside. looking at the golden gate bridge, we have a little bit of some chop on the water and we have been dealing with some water on the east bay hills. still lots of sunshine and temperatures are already warming back up. as far as records, as you can see, it is february dealing with temperatures getting back up and february 23rd, for today, the record is 78 degrees. we could be approaching that. san francisco it could be tough to beat that 80 degrees and san jose could be beating record levels once again over the next few hours. you see warm numbers, san francisco upper 60s and napa in one of the warmest locations and san jose reporting mostly clear skies and 70 degrees. in addition to the warm temperatures, winds have been increasing especially out in

the north bay, winds are coming out of the north and fairfield a sustained air speed at last checked 6 miles per hour. we did have a wind advisory for the north bay hills and east bay hills until 10:00 this evening and ranging from 45 to 50 miles per hour in fact on mt. diablo it is ranging at 3500 feet and the most recent ranging at 50 miles per hour. winds will gradually back off late into the evening hours. some bigger changes beginning friday as the area of low pressure moves in from the north. by saturday, warmest locations will be in the 60s and we will be on sunday maxing out to the upper 50s. enjoy the upper 70s by 3:00
