6:01 let's head back to the desk. we have developing news in the east bay, police are developing a deadly stabbing that happened in pittsburgh. it happened around 9:00 last night. the victim, a 27-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man is now in custody. investigators say the suspect knew the victim. we are getting further details, paul chambers is there to bring us our next update in the next half hour. budget cuts are planning to demonstrate throughout california today. a gathering is expected to start on uc berkeley campus in just a few hours. >> reporter: in just a few hours, they will end circle california hall in crime scene tape. they will hold teach outs all

sweeping over towards san pablo bay, nothing too heavy but it's there and a sign of things to come. but we have one little system through 7:00, you can see that system beginning to move south, there are breaks in the clouds further south you go. it looks like on the drier side, by noon we are done, mostly done, there could be stray showers, we'll see mostly cloudy conditions and tomorrow looks good and that's what we will be tackling. 40s, mid-40s, although san jose, with the breaks in the temperatures, that system right there, high pressure is on its way, it will be here starting tomorrow, sierra nevada will continue around 4 to 12 inches, they will see a little more, it is not a stormer part of the system. one more kicks in and it takes us into a warmer weekend.

morning news, it is thursday, the very first day of march, i am dave clark. >> good morning i am pam cook, time now is 6:30. we are following overnight news from the east bay. police are investigating a deadly stabbing and paul chambers is on the scene with information about the victim and the suspect, paul? >> reporter: good morning, pam, about the last ten minutes police released the scene behind us. we will not show you the house because the victim's family has yet to be notified. here is what we do know, officers responding to a 911 call they found an unresponsive 27-year-old who had been stabbed. they tried to revive her but they were unsuccessful. she was pronounced dead on the scene. officers have a suspect and they say the two knew each other and officers say it is
