knew each other, the victim and the suspect. around 9:00 last night, officer the got a 911 call -- officers got a 911 call. once on the scene, they found an unresponsive female who had been stabbed. she was later pronounced dead on the scene. now, police have a suspect in custody. we're told he's a 20-year-old pittsburg resident. officers picked him up a few blocks away. this was not a random act. police say there have been many issues inside the home. once again, we can't show you the home because family has not been notified. he said there's been issues

the deadly tornadoes that swept through the midwest. people are trying to pick up the pieces after entire communities were wiped out. harrisburg illinois is one of the hardest hit areas. sandra endo is there now with more. >> reporter: well, good morning, tori. we're standing in the path of destruction. this is the inside of what used to be a sporting good store. you can see how 180 -- how forceful 180-mile-per-hour winds are. it basically gutted this entire store with insulation and familying, just -- framing just torn apart and even the merchandise. you can see some tennis shoes and athletic gear.
