>> a-month-old baby girl named angel found alive after the tornado has now died. she was discovered in a field near her indiana home, but she suffer a major brain injury and was taken off life support. that same tornado killed angel's parents, her little brother and 2-month-old little sister. for more on the deadly tornadoes log onto ktvu.com and click on the deadly weather tab. a parker on an ac transit bus was injured during a police pursuit in oakland. sometime after midnight officers began chasing the driver of what they believed was a stolen mercedes. police followed him for about ten blocks down international boulevard. the suspect reportedly tried to overtake the ac transit bus forcing the bus to make a quick stop. the passenger inside bumped his head during the stop, but expected to be okay. ordeal ended with the suspect crashing the car. he was eventually caught by police. a high-speed chase

overnight ended with an arrest in contra costa county. police tried to stop the car for reckless driving, but the driver kept going. speeds topped 90 miles per hour during the chase. the suspect's car eventually spun out on byron highway and the driver was arrest. bay area authorities tonight are searching for two missing teenagers, both of whom are without medication they need dale lymph 14-year-old breana robinson of oakland was last seen wednesday. police say she took clothes, but left her medication at home. robinson suffered from multiple sclerosis, which needs to be treated daily. her parents tell ktvu news they looked through the girl's phone and she may be with a boy named bobby. and also looking forel sein- colon, 5'1, 111 pounds and suffers from other medical serious issues that should be treated twice a day.

police say he does not have any medication with him. anyone with information op either teen's whereabouts should contact police. dozens of bay area college students are in their fourth day of a 99-mile march to sacramento, where they will rally for education. they began their march on thursday in oakland and should arrive anytime at uc davis. they will join a much larger occupy the capitol rally tomorrow morning. they want governor brown to reject any budget that cuts education funding or raises tuition and want him to support a ballot measure for a millionaire's tax that would help pay for education and social services. people in the bay area enjoyed another beautiful day of clear skies and warm weather. our cameras found dozens of people out along the oakland estuary this morning, enjoying the sun and watching some rowing crews practice on the water. parts the bay area experienced highs up in the mid-80s, capping off a really great weekend to be outside. >> it certainly has been a wonderful weekend and awith more on the nice weather we go

to ktvu meteorologist mark tamayo with a look at today's temperatures. >> temperatures today maxed out in the mid and even a few upper 70s across the bay area. just amazing for the first sunday of march. look at the official highs for today. 77 santa rosa, morgan hill, same temperature as well, upper 70s. oakland at 74 and almost 70 just flirting with a degree around pacifica. upper 60s at 69 degrees. some changes though developing offshore. here you can pick out on the maps we have clear skies overhead, but a fog bank approaching our shoreline over the past 4-6 hours and the fog will be a factor as we head into first thing monday morning and as a result we can expect a temperature change. here latest is on the satellite and radar, clear skies over the entire state. but some developments up to our north. there is the weather system that will be dropping in over the next couple of days and will have an influence on our weather pattern. first thing tomorrow morning, partly cloudy skies and coolest

locations will be starting out monday morning in the upper 30s. right around napa and santa rosa. san francisco at 48 and san josi, 43 degrees. coming up, the areas that could cool over 10 degrees first thing tomorrow morning and the timing of a system that could produce a few sprinkles in your five-day forecast. there has been some encouraging news to report that shows the nation's economy is gaining steam, but how is the bay area's economy doing? lorraine blanco with the numbers from alameda. >> reporter: according to this bloomberg survey employers added 200,000 workers for the third straight month. now that is good news for american families and great news for many retailers. businesses is roaring at toy safari in alameda, so much that employees are getting more hours and the store is staying open later, even in a typically slower season. >> we had a good amount of people coming in january, which

is usually our deadest month. so it's definitely an increase from last year and especially from three years ago. >> reporter: a new bloomberg survey predicts labor department numbers out this week will show 210,000 jobs were add. in january payrolls rose by $243,000, the most in nine months and last december employers added about 203,000 workers. all numbers that make customers take out their cash. >> the no. 1 factor in consumer confidence is always jobs. so great job numbers mean there is going to be more confidence and that means more spending which ultimately means more jobs. >> reporter: but some bay area stores are still closing, like this raley's foods in milpitas. more than 100 employees could be transferred and a few laid- off this year. >> that kind of upsets me. i have been shopping here 42 years. >> reporter: raley says sales are slow and discount retailers are too

competitive, but consumer expert yarrow says it's not just low price as tracting consumers. many businesses are doing great and more importantly hiring again. >> because they found that special thing that is really important to a local clientele. >> there are ways, but it took ingenuity to remain alive and strong. >> reporter: applications for unemployment benefits declined last week to 351,000. now that is the lowest since march, 2008. the labor department report with specific job numbers is expected out op friday. reporting live in alameda, lorraine blanco, ktvu channel 2 news. jury selection begins tomorrow in the domestic violence case against san francisco sheriff mirkarimi. the judge will hear from mirkarimi's ex-girlfriend a closed session. she claims he abused her during their relationship and the judge is trying to decide if she should testify in this case. nearly 200 people have been called to appear in the jury pool.

. dozen of people in san francisco's bayview neighborhood are coming to drips with a three-alarm fire that left them homeless. as ktvu's allie rasmus reports residents say the house that caught fire ways neighborhood hazard. >> reporter: residents helplessly watched the fire destroy their home. >> i opened the door to my room and there was just black smoke. >> reporter: hernandezez and his family

escaped. nobody was hurt in the fire, but 21 adults and 7 children were displaced. two of the homes were red- tagged and the residents can't come back to hive here anymore. house in between them is where the fire started. it's vacant or at least it's supposed to be vacant. >> this building has been abandoned in the back just full of debris. >> reporter: in the back of the house where the fire started we saw a sofa, mobile home and a bbq grill with food still on it. neighbors say they have been complain big squatters here for years. >> there is an ongoing issue about this building. it's not a surprise that it caught fire. >> reporter: a search on the city's department of building inspection website shows there have been seven complaints from neighbors going back to 2004- the website shows city inspectors have been out here several teems, but the case is still open. >> it's just something that the city is failing to act on, and that is blight in the bayview. >> reporter: as of this afternoon firefighters were still trying to contact whom owns the fire

. oakland police are investigating the homicide of a 51-year-old man who was shot several times and then run over. police found him dead on 88" avenue and e street. officers say his injuries are so severe it will take a autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. the man was a resident of east oakland. police have not yet released his name. overnight a shooting in berkeley left three young people with gunshot wounds. it comes just a day after another shooting just nine blocks away, also had three victims. ktvu's jade hernandez is live where she learned the young men hurt overnight all played football together a few years ago. >> reporter: that is right. you can see where some of the bullets landed here and here. fortunately none of them struck and killed any of the young men

gathered on the sidewalk right here early this morning. the violence has frustrated one man. the man known as coach knew the three young men shot this morning. berkeley police say the young men were standing on the sidewalk when the shooter or shooters walked around the corner and opened fire. walker coached the young men in pop warner football a few years ago and received a call from one of the young man's mothers after the shooting and she is worried and she is plain frustrated. just the day before he heard about another shooting injuring three other young men nine blocks away. in that shooting police say a man in a car pulled up and opened fire. the victims escaped serious injuries. >> it's getting worse. the council members and mayor, they are not doing nothing about it, you know? these kids need something to do. when they turn 16, 17, 18, that is when we need to have something for them to do. >> reporter:

we spoke to a berkeley police lieutenant who told us the number of shootings is unusual. they had one homicide last year and investigating two this year. we contacted several city council members and hope to have their perspective tonight at 10:00. reporting live, jade hernandez, ktvu channel 2 news newschannel a 19-year-old man face adtempted murder charges for allegedly shooting someone during a drug deal in daly city. lonnie lewis was arraigned in court. he was sitting in a car parked at bart station with a 1-year- old who was selling marijuana. they say he shot the victim threw the seat when the 17-year- old refused to give lewis the drugs for free. he also face robbery and assault charges. a new study is exposing inconsistencies in sentencing in federal court. the associated press reports federal defends who did the same crime received significantly different prison sentences over the past five years, depending on their judge. the report adds that the differences don't line up with

livermore and san josi. by comparison, everybody comes down quite a bit and, in fact, santa rosa back to 66. san francisco in the lower 60s and san josi around 66 degrees. temperatures they have maxed out for today with those readings a good 8-12 degrees above normal. 15 degrees above normal in a few spots. we have do have energy up to our north and west. there is a weather system that will be dropping in. so with, that as we showed you, the cooling spend begins monday. we also have some gusty winds. now there is a very weak system that will be moving in by monday night into tuesday. here we go tomorrow morning at 8:00, this forecast model showing you some of the fog on the increased coast side and maybe a few patches around the bay. and then by 4:00, partly to mostly sunny skies. we increase the clouds late monday night into early tuesday morning. and early tuesday morning we could have this, a few sprinkles or light showers
