protesters inside. i was listening to people, therapy saying we have done what we have came to do, and others want to stay and be arrested. the capital building closes at 6:00. earlier police said if they were still here when it closes they were subject to arrest. they pointed out they didn't have a permit to protest. so they are already in violation from that but police stood back and watched. it does appear police are mobilizing for something. look over head with the chopper and you will see some of that and some of the crowds right now. we have seen police on horse back, in riot gear. i saw lines of police walking down the hallway and more coming in to relieve officers who were standing guard all

solid. there was only minor damage today and a few scary moments. >> i was out the door and by the time i got out the door the shock was over. there is a 1% chance every year of the big one and oakland sits on the most hazardest part of the fault. -- hazardist part of the fault. >> yes, those pieces are more dangerous. but when the big one happens it will effect all of us. >> reporter: the u.s. geological survey but censors here. one reason they pinpointed the location. there is a 62% chance of a catastrophic earthquake in the next 30 years. this really is a wick up call. john fowler, ktvu channel 2

for resale, today held a nasty surprise. workers found military ordinance in the storage area of the home. the bomb squad was called in. neighbors say some of the ordinance was detonated by the domb squad. -- bombed squad. the family of bryan stow said he has been transferred to a rehab facility. he suffered a brain injury after being attacked at dodger stadium last year. he has been recovering at the medical center since october. his family did not reveal the location of the facility. two men arrested are still awaiting trial. hundreds gathered for the east bay women's conference, and it coincide with the controversy surrounding rush

after a investigation called into question their alcohol screening devices. officers used the devices to determine whether someone was under the influence are now being scrutinized. he says it appears officers were using the devices improperly when conducting breath tests. >> results show the testing was snot being done -- was not being done. >> anyone who was give an breath test and arrested going back to 2006 should contact them. the police department has suspended its use of those devices. a state law that micks it illegal to drive with a cell phone is saving lives. traffic fatalities fell by 22% since 2008. the number of accidents flamer blamed on drivers using cell

phones dropped by 47%. similar bans are in place in 8 other states. a shipping company is one of the state's biggest delinquent taxpayers. they released a list today and shows they are number two on that list. owing $16.6 million. they owe $3.2 million and mobile systems is ranked 21, owing $3 million. apple said it reached a milestone, 25 billion apps downloaded from its app store. since launching the app store apple says it paid out $4 billion to developers. a man in china downloaded the 25 25th billion app on his phone and he received a gift card worth $10,000. yahoo is planning to lay off workers as a result of a

restructuring. sources said all things d, cuts would be deep and could happen by the end of the month. it follow as shake up of top management and a 5% drop in income during the 1st quarter last year. stocks started the week down on news china is cutting its growth targets. the dow is down 15 points to 12,963. the nasdaq is down 26 to 2,950. identity threat and fraud are up 11% over the last 5 years in the bay area and short phone owners most at risk. 7% of smartphone users will be victims of identity theft, compared to nonsmartphone users. they lose more money than other identity theft victims and 25% will never know how their information was stolen.

everything to her. two years ago she was in a car accident that damaged her spinal cord. she used to play softball and studying to become a teacher. >> i am so mote vade to become a teacher, go back to school and the van could help me get there. >> reporter: her mother would have to pick her up and put her in another car but driving would be futile because her electric wheelchair wouldn't fit in the car. for the last 24 hours she has been on social media trying to get the word out. she missed school today. >> i need it back. it is a part of my life now. makes it 100% easier. >> reporter: she filed a police report but needs the publics help. a 1994 blue dodge caravan with
