here. while their death res main a mystery, we obtained a more recent photo of one of the twins. this is patricia miller. her and her twin were photoogenic from a young age. they found cousins in oregon and one in the bay area. >> doesn't sound like they had as much contact. >> reporter: the 73-year-old twins were found dead in this neighborhood last month. one on a bedroom floor and one in a hallway. >> one twin was probably deceased 4-6 weeks and my suspicion is the other twin died within a week afterward. the twins were born in oregon. their father listed this house

as home. the twins attended lincoln high school and san francisco state. by their early 40s they moved to south lake tahoe. the case peaked the interest of genologist. >> it is exciting and i want to know more about them. did something happen in their family that caused them to be like that? >> reporter: autopsies have been completed but it will take weeks before a cause is released. maureen naylor, ktvu channel 2 news. a local watch dog group says the number of golden gate bridge suicides went up last year. they say 37 people jumped to their death last year. according to the group, that is up from 32 in 2010. 31 in 2009 and 34 in 2008. the bridge district has developed a plan for a barrier that buzzant have the money to install it. in san francisco, a woman

channel 2 news. the state franz cheese tax board says the tax gap is growing, the amount of money that is owed to the state. the gap doubled in the last two years due to the recession. taxpayers owe the state $10 billion. that is up from $6.5 million. it effects everyone. >> we see them as stealing from kids, seniors who need healthcare, folk whose need houses. >> they say it is difficult collecting back taxes because it cost money to track people down and when they are found, it is hard to make them pay. the education commission will host a meeting tonight on the state budget and education reform. she will join the discussion, she held hearings on school funding this week.

the city of walnut creak removed a giant oak tree and
