la vega talks with afghan- americans. why some say u.s. forces should leave now. woman may face charges after causing a bomb scare on board a flight. the fbi says a woman called authorities to say a passenger might pose a bomb threat. a female passenger was questioned. the plane was searched and all passengers were checked. nothing ended up being found. autopsy to determine what killed a inmate waiting on an appeal. he was 68 years old. he died sunday while watching tv. there is no indication of overdose or foul play. he was convicted in 1989 in connection with a murder. his appeal has been pending for almost 4 years.

. a collision involving a dump truck and a suv caused a traffic back up. it happened around 1:00 on interstate 680, where it splits. both vehicles flipped over. there were only minor injuries. it took an hour to clear up the roadway and reopen all lanes. amtrak is investigating a crash involving a train and a truck stuck on the tracks. happened at palm avenue and monterey. amtrak shares the tracks with caltrain. it disrupted service this afternoon. officials say the suv was pulling a trailer when it got stuck on the tracks because of the weight of the trailer. the train hit the truck while
