help warn the public that a 25- year-old was assaulted at gun point around one this morning. we are live at 14th and broadway and as you said this is a block from city hall and police say that two men, one armed a hand gun grabbed the woman from behind, led her to a secluded area and assaulted her. we have suspect description. two black males between 18 and 25, wearing black hooded sweatshirts, more specifically the victim said the man was armed and spoke in a low voice is. now we have been talking to people who spent a lot of time here. some of them live on the street. they say they are no strange terse violence but this crime is especially frightening. >> every other weekend it's no problems, i guess something happened. that's how -- lets you know it's not people from out here, it's other people. >> down here i -- it's not normal. i don't know sometimes it makes me think -- if that happened it could happen to somebody else.

>> reporter: there are police here on the scene and police are asking anyone with information to give them a call. the folk who spent a lot of time on the streets say they would think twice about snitching on someone who would be able to do this kind of crime. reporting live. patty lee. >> police in walnut creek warning parents and kids to be on alert after a suspicious man tried to get a girl into his car twice. he drove up to the 13-year-old on wednesday and asked her if she needed a ride. she ran away when he continued to ask questions. the next day the girl said she saw the same man waving to her as she left school. police say the man is white and in his 60s, he has short gray hair, high cheek bones and a possible accent. he was driving a faded red older model compact sedan with a blue disabled placard on the my. search teams back out looking for a missing teen

girl. the 15-year-old was last seen leaving for school early friday morning in morgan hill near palm. she never made it to class. yesterday deputies used a helicopter and search dogs to try to find her. her family has been posting flyers hoping someone will come forward. they say she is a happy teen and had no relationship trouble for history of running away. anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office. authorities have suspended the search for a missing gilroy woman. a few dozen gathered outside the apartment of the 52-year- old man that guiterrez, they covered a 30-mile stretch of land in southern santa clara county. they believe her 27-year-old son able hurt or killed her. last week police say he shot and killed his 11-year-old sister before committing suicide. >> a woman is facing charges of driving under the influence

after allegedly crashing her vehicle into a parked police car. police say they were called to a loud party around 11:45 on san rafael court. 80 people were in the street and some of them were fighting. police say as they tried to manage the crowd a woman slammed her suv into the police cruiser. investigators say a test showed her blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit. the man found off the marina has been identified. the coroner said the body is that of a 31-year-old douglas jones there. are no signs of foul blay. the cause of death is under investigation. >> san carlos police have arrested a homeless man in connection with a string of home burglaries, they arrested him friday at a motel in redwood. he was found early we are jewelry that matched descriptions of things taken in

a home. he is set to be arraigned tomorrow, police believe he is responsible for many of 23 burglaries reported. another gray whale seen in san francisco bay today. this a week after a mother whale and her calf were seen in the bay near the bridge. whales frequently swim in to the bay as they migrate. they won't say where the latest whale was seen because they want to keep boaters away. if are you on a boat and see a whale you must stay at least 300 feet away or you could face stiff fines that can reach $20,000. >> drivers not getting relief at the pump. the new national average for a gallon of regular is $3.83. that is up 7-cents in the past week. here in the bay area prices are higher, the average price is $4.41 a gallon. that is up 51-cent in the past month. >> it'll be a first for the

metal worker. he was identified as a 33-year- old, he worked at berkeley forage and tool and thursday night he was struck in the back of the head by a piece of metal. he was working with a grinding tool and it shattered sent metal flying. they are now checking on tool safety features and if he was properly trained. neighbor savored a woman from a fire. it broke out yesterday evening and the back unit of a home. before firefighters got there neighbors broke down a door and pulled the victim out. she was flown to the medical center for treatment and is in the hospital with major injuries, crews quickly put out the fire. the cause is under investigation. the fire captain estimates $100,000 of damage. san jose state is set to hold three public hearings on proposed changes to its emissions policy. it's considering ending a policy that gives pref presence to local applications. the proposed changes would go into effect in the 2013

as we head in to the overnight hours, rainfall totals, since last monday, monday through yesterday afternoon, and look at the numbers over four inches, six in san rafael. the big contrast the south bay not taking up as much. about a half inch of rain. look at over 16 inches, we could top that in the mountains we have a scott creek that runs from the mountains down the coast and they had nearly 20 inches of rain. 19.96 for monday through saturday. tomorrow is a break. no major storms for the long range over the next few days but tomorrow will be cold, partly cloudy and chilly. coolest location around freezing for santa rosa, napa, san jose 38 and antioch in the mid-30s. a very cold active weather pattern. this area starting to scoot out of town that. will set the stage for a break. just a few high clouds

approaching the area. there is another weather system up to the north and west. that will be on the increase as that warm front approaches, with that we will thicken up the high clouds, most of your monday will be dry and winds -- maxing out around ten miles an hour. as far as the wind department a different story for monday. as we do take this into tuesday this warm front moves in and will generate a few showers, especially up in the north bay and this is mostly for tuesday morning. then as we head in to the afternoon hours we scale back on the probablyible, once that system moves through, partly cloudy for wednesday and thursday. the updated forecast model, first thing tomorrow morning and then at five you will see a few sprinkles, could be approaching the shoreline and then this goes into tuesday. the activity, not much. this moves in first thing tuesday morning favoring the north bay. as far as temperatures, everybody a few degrees from today's highs, those readings in the mid to upper 50s.
