he made a tearful apology following his sentencing in his domestic violence case. he pled guilty to false imprisonment as part of a plea deal. a year of domestic violence classes and 100 hours of community service. two shootings and that violence has many people living near downtown berkeley demanding more police protection. last night they are expressing concerns over violent crime in their neighborhood. three men were shot and two days later, three other men were fired on 7th street just a half mile away. police are responding with increased patrols. >> we are having two extra, even sometimes four extra persons on that street to not only deter violence but to seek out folks who may be associated with it.
