430, let's go back to the desk. a water-main break, flooded streets, paul chambers is now at hollis and powell with what it left behind, paul? >> reporter: that part of the street is closed right now. there is a crew out here cleaning up the area, that is east bay mud crews. the waters is running about 20 gallons per minute, however this was the scene. pools of standing water in emoryville, a water main break caused it to be shut down and it was making its route across the roadway. officers were out here hoping to direct traffic at its worst, several hundred gallons of water were rushing from the

broken pipe. crews were able to get a handle on the situation within an hour and only a nearby building is without water at this time. the break didn't cause any major damage just a muddy roadway. the crews did start to get the area clean. you can see this building right here, east bay crews are trying to determine what caused the breaks or is it pipes for this new building, it is a privately owned building so they are trying to figure it at and keep it under -- figure it out and keep it under control. they have chlorine tabs to take care of the storm system drain and they have things under control and since there is not much traffic they hope to have

we have posted more video from dueling news conferences by the mayor and you will find the link on the sheriff ross mirkarimi case tab. a shooting happened in oakland, one man was shot inside his apartment shortly before 1:30. he managed to run about a block. paramedics rushed him into surgery. an argument led up to the violence and he was not there on the scene so police have not been able to question him. a man suspected at a killing rampage is now at a standoff with police. right now police have the 24- year-old suspect surrounded. take a look we are live this morning in france of the he

announced he would surrender the suspect. he is a french national with ties to al qaeda. he is accused of killing three separate people in three separate attacks including a rabbi and her children. the blast damaged windows and several nearby cars but nobody was hurt. an employee discovered the package but nobody has taken responsibility for the attack. it struck 200 miles south of mexico city. we will have the good news coming out of the area and we will hear what people are saying. the mother of sierra lemar
