building. it's 50,000 square feet. they make packaged salads and frozen pizza, and wraps. we talked to the owner of the plant and he said he isn't certain there was leak at his business firefighters say the scene they saw when they arrived told a different story. >> the vomiting, that's -- fairly significant. >> reporter: when firefighters first responded to the call they saw dozens of people outside this building. all but three of the 74 people at work today want to the hospital. some were transported by bus, 11 in more serious condition left in plans. workers reported feeling sick around 10:30. this one said one of the machine stopped working and gas started coming out. it's commonly used to process

packaged foods. he called when employees felt kick then did his own test of the air quality. >> we tested the air. the air was fine. >> reporter: firefighters also tested the area and found normal readings but said plant operator has already aired it out. >> there is a air exhaust system that changes the air and they turned it on. it was basically a large fan. anything in there may have been evacuated before we arrived. . >> reporter: the owner think itself always s it was a false alarm. >> it could be a chain reaction. >> reporter: they are investigating what happened here. we have tried several times to get ahold of someone in the department of environmental health and haven't heard back. live in vallejo. >> emergency responders rush to the hazmat scene launched a

triage operation. as you can see from this news chopper 2 video the responder sent out mats, there is a red one in the lower right hand corner. people okay were taken to the green, one on the upper right hand. those -- the more seriously ill were taken to the red. we tweeterred out developments as the story broke. >> first lady is in san francisco at a fun raiser for the election campaign. it arrived less than an hour ago in golden gate park. she is speaking to a crowd of supporter who paid a minimum $500 a ticket. >> we will -- have a chance to meet her but briefly and i brought the grandchildren. they will have a chance to have a picture taken with her. >> reporter: tomorrow the first lady will commission a new coast guard cutter.

security is high. >> reporter: when the first lady expected right here on coast guard island tomorrow the biggest issue that oakland police are looking at specifically to get those folks living on unregistered votes out of the water. they are anchor out vessels, unregistered, sometimes homeless living on abandoned boats. >> it's hazard. they are in fairways according to the port -- code and a lot of regulation there is no anchoring. >> reporter: they first found the problem in november and until this week most of the anchor outs remained. >> there were a lot of boats. >> reporter: they have been recorded to bring in the abandoned boat and he has flight 20 so far. >> there is laws in place we can storm and -- remove them but we don't have the funds in place to make that happen. >> reporter: the officer said most of the boats he brought in

came in voluntarily and they are now docked in what were once empty slips. >> dozens of muslim men gathered in san francisco to call for more support of a proposed hard nonto protect them. they metaphor friday prayers, under a tent in civic center plaza. it's meant to ensure police don't over step the civil rights protection of muslim residents while working with the joint terrorism task force. >> repart of this country. we are part of this community. we need to work together with the government of san francisco. >> supporters say the mayor and other city officials should be more vocal in their support. today's gathering on the heels of a report from the american aclu that said the fbi gathered intelligence on bay area mosqes while doing an outreach.

they said agents took notes and collected muslim names, views and religious activities. the fbi said agents were just reaching out to the muss like community. >> the county sheriff's office released the identities of two california teen girls believed to have been killed by the speed freak killers. a 19-year-old kimberly billi and joanne hobson. both were from the central valley. the mass murder drew maps of the area where he said he and another man buried the victims. the remains were found inside the same abandoned well. >> we have a update on a story you saw only on the 10:00 news last night. there appears to be more confusion about the mayor's controversial 100 block crime reduction plan. that it proposal would focus on the 100 blocks where 90% of the crime is committed.

tomorrow afternoon, rain or shine. project is just the first of several projects planned to help improve the park. san francisco's parks department is focusing on improving the clubhouse, lawn areas and athletic courts, the agency plans to upgrade roads, pathway its, lighting and irrigation demolition of pier36 started todayt. will make way for a new 57,000 square foot wharf in the south beach neighborhood. the mayor said the project will create job its, enhance public spaces and prepare the city for the america's cup race. the clock is counting down to the mega millions drawing. paul chambers has been tracking the rising fever all week and joins us now -- people have been waiting in line for hours to buy their tickets. >> that's so correct we got in line about 5:15, about an hour ago. we made it half around.

they say this man of san jose is a accused of pushing a woman out of a car sunday night and then running her over. the victim jennifer flores died at hospital. he boarded a flight to india on monday. >> the search for a missing teen sierra lamar included a hillside today. hundreds took part in the search hoping to find new clues in the disappearance of the 15- year-old. she disappeared two weeks ago today. a large group of searchers also focused on the field where a empty box labeled handcuffs and two used condoms were found yesterday. >> recautionly hopeful it'll -- that it'll help find her. it's kind of a -- bad find but if it's going to help us find her that would be good. >> today's search has not

turned up any new leads, volunteers say they will continue their search through the weekend. there has been a trail of clues. she left home for school on march 16th and officials say she never made it. the next day searchers found her cell phone in a field a mile away from the house. a day later they found her purse. they say it's unclear if there is a connection to yesterday's discovery. >> the oakland swat team surrender owned surrounded a house. they noticed three people acting suspiciously. they chased after him. the swat team arrived surround a house at 59th and dover. they were arrested. >> nine students caught cheating have been suspended

authorities say there were more than 50 victims including diane feinstein. prosecutors say they stole the money over a period of 11 years. she faces up to 14 years in prison. >> it's still dry right now but rain is on the way for the weekend. mark is tracking this latest storm in the weather center. >> it looks like we will get a punch of heavy rain and strong winds. we will march closer -- to the bay area coastline. we do have partly to mostly cloudy skies out there, maybe a bit of drizzle but the coverage may not show up well on here. the few showers being reported, but if you aren't covered there could still be spotty drizzle especially in parts of the north bay. forecast headlines for tonight will continue to thicken up the cloud cover and add in the chance of a shower, tomorrow our next storm moves in, rain and wind, sunday will be dry
