reports indicate officers were called to the scene in response to an alarm. time now 6:02, now the two injured sailors rescued from their yacht off the coast over the weekend were due to arrive in alameda sometime today. allie rasmus is joining us live to show us some new video, detailing how dangerous that rescue was, allie? >> reporter: well the latest time of their anticipated a rifle is sometime today they are not exactly sure when but the crew of a yacht hit stormy weather when they were 400 miles off the coast coming to oakland as part of an around the world yacht race. this is video of the gerald which got slammed by a rogue wave. four crew members were injured and two of the four needed

medical treatment right away. those who could send medical personnel to help them. >> they drove alongside the yacht and simply strands for thed -- transported the injured folks to the small boat and bring them back where they are now being kept comfortable and and stable liced. >> they suffered cracked ribs and pelvic injuries. their injuries are not life- threatening and the two sailors are now on their way back to coast guard island to alameda and once they make it back on dry land they will be transported by ambulance to san francisco hospital. allie rasmus, ktvu channel 2 morning news. happening now, occupied protesters have moved to into a

vacant building on turk street. paul chambers is there where spell have set up an active crime scene. good morning, as you can see fight back, that is 'active crime scene. they have not explained why, and yesterday being april fools they decided to pick that day because they are sick and tired of being taken advantage of by officials and they say they will not be fooled again. they will have a come back owned by the archdiocese and you can see members of the occupied standing on top of a building and members took over the building after they held a piece full rally.

conference after their meeting and there is lingering tension between president barack obama and canadian prime minister harper, and i will have more on my neck update. an officer shot and killed a pit bull during a call. a man threatened his neighbor with a knife at 5:45 last night. the officer had detained the suspect when a woman and dog came out of the home. police say the dog charged the officer but it broke free and that is when the officer shot and killed the dog. the home becomes the scene of a deadly stabbing, the suspect in the murder is only 17. now the sheriff's office said the teen killed ronnie smith at the home and investigators say

the boy was trying to commit a robbery when he assaulted smith. he later died and the teen was booked in attempted robbery charges. big news from the colorado fire lines. hundreds of evacuated families are being allowed to go home today. firefighters from several western states have joined this battle against a raging wildfire in jefferson county and they have been out there for the past week. full containment is expected later today. three people died in the wildfires which destroyed more than a dozen houses and it has burned six square miles southwest of denver. back here we have a high surf advisory for the bay area. take a look at the some of the high waves rolling in. 15 to 20-foot waves are expected until about 11:00 this morning. most of the biggest waves peaked during the night but if you go out there, you should still be very, very careful.

in this house banged on her door and yelled for her to get out. becky allan says she literally ran out the door in her pajamas, luckily the people who lived next door all got out safely. the fire broke out in the garage and quickly spread to the home. she said it was the most a scary wake-up call she has ever had. >> i just feel so blessed, you know this is a house my dad grew up in. we have owned this house since 1925 and i feel like my father and my grandfather are watching over me. >> the fire took 20 minutes to battle and put out. they are still monitoring hot spots and the red cross is on the scene helping the family find a place to stay since the

the archdiocese and have they reached out to these demonstrators? >> we have just learned they plan to have a meeting with the members of the archdiocese and here are some members checking in and out and they plan to fight back. this building is owned by the archdiocese and taking a look at some video here, yesterday occupied san francisco came back by taking over this building on church street in san francisco. you can see them standing on top of the building and members of occupied held a peaceful rally until yesterday, the building was empty and now the group bans to -- wants to make it a permanent space and use it is a shelter for the homeless. members of occupied wants to stay here and we plan to do so.

much diocese. -- archdiocese. police say the vandals smashed windows and they sprayed graffiti at a starbucks, at a wells fargo bank questions knows and other businesses during an occupied friday and saturday night. so far no arrests have been made. he is accused of killing a fellow transient in concord. it happened just a few feet inside a strip mall on monument boulevard. we videotaped the suspect as police took him away and his identity has not been released. he is suspected of beating to death a 49-year-old man. police say the two men were a acquaintances. the body of the man was found behind the video store. friends believe an argument led to the killing.

police are looking for the man who shot and killed trayvon martin. after reviewing video of the suspect, george zimmerman two audio experts are telling the newspaper the screaming that is heard on the 9th 11 call is not george zimmerman -- 911 call is not george zimmerman, while trayvon martin's screams were heard in the background. george zimmerman claims the shooting was in self-defense. maryland and the district of columbia will go to the primaries tomorrow. with wisconsin as the biggest surprise and that's where he stayed permanent over the weekend. >> he will try in some way he can to try to divert ahead of some attack. newt gingrich scaled back attacks on mitt romney but he told face the nation he has a

killed somebody and it happened just a couple of blocks away from the house where five people were murdered last month. right now occupied protesters are still inside a building on turk street. this building is owned by the catholic archdiocese and they have asked the police not to take any immediate action. so far the police have set up a crime scene in that area and they are keeping an eye on the situation. two injured sailors are expected to reach dry land after a dangerous coast guard rescue. allie rasmus spoke to the coast guard overnight and joins us with this dangerous reece cue effort that is unfolding. it is part of the clipper around the world race. >> reporter: they ran into some stormy weather and sailors reported waves as high as 60 feet which is almost as tall as
