work, she would have been in danger as well. >> so she was not at work at all? >> no. >> tell us about the survivors, the people who managed to get away. anyone else in the university? who were the witnesses, were there any people there in that particular building who had seen him come in? are you hearing anything about that. >> yeah. there were a total of 35 people in the campus. of those were rescued by office officers -- by officers. it was a very chaotic scene. a total of 23 people were impacted by this so far that we know at the school. any cameras capturing him coming to the campus armed? >> yeah. there's some photos -- some cameras from other buildings nearby. we're looking at those to find

7:18 am
action to make the area safe. and then -- these are things that happen in a lot of cities. it's not something that we look forward to. it's unfortunate that it happened but i think given the circumstances and what we're faced with, our officers acted appropriately. no amount of officers could have been prevented. he was most varied. he had the -- motivated. he had the means, the ability, and the reason to kill somebody, albeit, a very sick and disturbing reason. >> yes. very scary and horrendous case. >> thank you for joining us. i'm sure you will be updating us. thank you, chief. >> thank you. let's go back to dave and tori. 7:18. the finn is expanding its investigation into the shooting death of 17-year-old trayvon martin. agents are questioning witnesses in the case to
