court. this is a photograph of one goh. we have new team coverage and claudine wong is finding out more about the victims, but first, tara moriarty is at the oakland estuary where police divers have been searching for the gun suspected in that attack, tara? >> reporter: divers have literally been feeling around with their hands because it is extremely muddy and mirky at the estuary and this is where they believe the gunman dumped his weapon. so these dive teams have had their working cut out for them. they believed he had his 45 caliber and all day yesterday and into the night, divers came to look along with a special police squad that had special sonar equipment. we do not know if they found

the gun yet. police have given us the first photograph of 43-year-old one goh who was kicked out of the university. >> he was upset at the administration because he was expelled for anger management issues with other students. >> reporter: investigators say one goh went to the university monday morning with the intent on harming that administrator and she was not even at the school as the time. they also revealed one goh was upset about his inability to get along with women at a university where most of the students were women. and he bought a gun in caster valley and he did not have any

criminal records. as far as being eligible for the death penalty, the district attorney is not sure if she will seek the death penalty. tara moriarty ktvu channel 2 morning news. we are looking at the seven lives cut short in that shooting and claudine wong is at a memorial from the victims with more on what we learned from friends and family. >> this is a place where the victims saw their future being built. >> reporter: this is a place where they thought they were getting closer to becoming nurses and to becoming their chosen professional. it is a place where people who knew them are remembering them and the memorial sits in front of the university for the lives lost in the shooting but the school is still a crime scene. evidence markers line the inside of the school. a police officer is standing

by. but the focus here is still on the victims. a 38-year-old man who lived in north beach. he was gunned down tuesday morning and his car stolen by the gunman. he was there that the school because he dreamed of being a nurse. he was described as a good man, a friendly man with a big heart. >> he was somebody i could see in the healing profession, because he -- he was interested in people. >> reporter: also killed was the mother of a four-year-old boy. she was the oldest who helped her family buy a home. she apparently tried three times to call her family as she was dying but never got through. >> we have the hospital and he died shortly on the operating table. that is what the police said.

night when her car smashed into the house. look closely, it hit a gas meter and caused a leak just smashed it. you hear those car alarms and we have one of our reporters as we watched the crews paul chambers is out there and he will bring us a live update on the repair working coming up at 6:30. oakland police are searching for three gunmen who robbed a jack in the box on 24th avenue held up by three men wearing ski masks who jumped over the counter and cleaned out the cash registers. there is no word on how much money was stolen. no injuries were reported.

will suck that air tank dry and you will die. >> members took part in a hands on training yesterday, they focused on how to handle flash officers which are often deadly. flash officers happen when hot smoke fills a room and causes everything to suddenly explode. flash overs can reach over 1,000 degrees in a matter of minutes. a flash over is what killed two firefighters last june. a crash caused a gas leak and evacuations and we will tell what you we learned about that crash this morning. details are emerging as investigators search for the weapon they say he used in his killing spree.

booking of one goh, they are at the estuary where police have been looking for the murder weapon upon, a 45 caliber semiautomaker gun. >> reporter: it doesn't matter if the sun is out, they simply cannot see anything in these mirky waters. again there is zero visibility and they are looking for a 45 caliber handgun. divers combed the estuary with special sonar equipment. no word on if they have retrieved the weapon and this is where they believe the suspect dumped the gun and as we mentioned, divers had zero visibility in these waters. the diver being under water really has no sense of direction, they keep the line

taught and the ones on the shore are searching. >> reporter: police say he was angry about being expelled and so he went out and bought a gun. now one goh has had a long history of anger management and he apparently left his wife and daughter years ago. he said he came to california for a better life. his father saw an ad and urged him to consider it. he left one man dead and several people hurt and because of the special circumstances one goh is eligible for the death penalty. in virginia he still owes money to a bank and rental company. his brother who still lives in virginia shielded himself from

news cameras and he said he was a shamed he would shoot and kill people and there is a neighbor who lives near him spoke with us. >> i never would have thought anything. >> now one goh was evicted from his virginia apartment for overdue rent. he had another brother who died in a car crash in southwest virginia. the families of the seven people killed at oikos university are trying deal with their loss. >> i am going to miss her but i need to face the truth, that she is gone. >> the coroners office released the names of all of the victims. coming up, we will go to the university for a closer look at the people whose lives were tragically cut short. time now happening right

now, pg&e crews. >> paul chambers has already been out there for more than an hour what is the latest? >> let me show you right here, this is the pathway that the car took. you can see the skid marks and we have just seen within the last ten minutes, no only did it take out this meter right here, it took out the meter across the way and out of the side of the house and was that caused the leak. this all happened when the vehicle struck the home and it is unclear what caused the accident and as a precaution, crews shut down the main gas line in the area, between four and six homes were evacuated and several went to the hospital. they are working to repair the gas line and they still hope to

have everything wrapped up by 7:30 this morning and after that the remaining homes will have their gas restored. we are not aware of what person was taken to the hospital or what the extend -- extent of their injuries are but coming back out here live, they are working to sure up that situation and the man was over here and he will be able to repair this one right here. he will be able to repair but over by the house they will not be able to repair for several weeks because they have to resure it before they can put anything back in that area. live in san jose, i am paul chambers, ktvu channel 2 morning news. hundreds of canceled flights and flight delays are blamed on a powerful storm in texas. now look at this, this video -- this was shot inside of a plane

during a hail storm and you can hear the hail hitting that plane. this is dallas fort worth international airport and it was canceled. more than 110 planes were damaged by hail during that storm. they could have even more flights delay. plus tornadoes caused a lot of problems. as many as a dozen tornadoes touched down in the dallas area. 650 homes were damaged and you can see the tragedies. about 150 people from lancaster are now in a shelter. today oikos university will

open its doors for the final marijuana course. nobody is sure what will happen next following the raid. they are leaving oakster dam and they believe they were targeting the founder, millionaire richard lee is trying to legalize marijuana. there is a move to make things more baby friendly. they are trying to make it easier to bring baby strollers on to the muni buses. it the policies -- the policies for muni buses has been a long time group and they are losing babies with toddlers at an alarming rate. how are we moving so far? >> it is okay and the commute is developing nicely. chp has not had a lot to give

. just about 20 minutes ago, yahoo announced they are laying off up to 2000 workers today. these are live pictures and we are right outside in sunny veil. those job cuts amount to 40% of the company's total workforce. pg&e is at the scene of an evacuated san jose neighborhood where an overnight car crash caused a leak. the car hit a gas meter which caused a leak and forced evacuations -- evacuations. and no word on whether police found the gun allegedly

that line the hallway. these are all the students who were planning their futures. judith seymour was in a classroom and was just two months away from getting her degree. she was passionate about her faith and her two grown children. also kathleen who was trying to help her husband immigrate from the philippines. her family is trying to deal with her loss and trying to forgive the man responsible for her death. >> whoever did this, we already forgive him, you know, it is all up to god. >> also being remembered is 38- year-old a man who worked at several trains. he was goodman friends say with a big heart.

-- video from santa monica. up to 30 didn't samers -- demonstrators were sprayed last night. they were angry that only a handful were allowed into a meeting of trustees. the police started to pepper spray the students and you may remember the case where the students were pepper sprayed with occupied demonstrators from last year. they are investigating a break-in at palo alto high school. somebody used bolt cutters to get in to the campus over the weekend. it is not clear if anything was taken because students were out on spring break. right now no students are in custody. a brawl out on the baseball field. that is players from both northern california schools
