minutes. the suspect is described as medium build wearing a black hoody. if you have information, call police. developing news now from southern california, an american airlines flight from hawaii landed safely at l.a.x. after the pilot reported engine problem. this happened on the flight from kona to l.a.x. 146 people were on board. instruments showed trouble with the leften gin. the -- left engine. an investigation is underway after a white pickup truck busted through a fence and damaged two parked cars.

the alameda county board of supervisors will vote whether to accept nadia lockyer's resignation. she stepped down. police in pleasanton say two teenagers admitted they slashed dozens of tires in two neighbors. now, the 14 and 15-year-old boys were arrested last thursday, then they were released to their parents. a third teenager may have also been involved. police say the boy has slashed 31 tires earlier in month. they did it as a prank. they could face felony charges. police don't believe the teenagers are connected to another tire slashing incident last month. 7:34. more searches are planned for

good morning. welcome back. i'm tori campbell. >> i'm dave clark. in just about one hour, the students go back to oikos university in oakland. it's the first time classes will be held since the deadly shooting rampage. tara moriarty is there now to tell us what the students and staff will find when they arrive on campus. tara? >> reporter: well, they are gonna find a lot of flowers and teddy bears and that sort of thing. the memorial really has grown here at the front of the

university. there are pictures of all of the victims on the table there. there are a lot of teddy bears. we expect that the staff will be trickling over here in the next hour and then class will start at 9:00. if you want to the right building, that's the cont entrance they -- that's the front entrance they will come through and the same door the gunman came through. there will be counselors onhand and a concert at noon. but no memorial planned. many people escaped out of the back door and barricaded them self came da be -- themselves in a class roam -- classroom. those students will be back. the other students will be taking classes in fremont.

future development in this area. housing and possibly even a whole foods. protesters are trying to save the land and instead turn it into a community garden. it's 5.3 inches into a garden area and to use it for anything but agriculture is a waste, we believe. >> reporter: miffs have been here several times telling the protesters that they are protesting and need to leave. i've reached out to the police department and the spokesperson as well trying to get this -- and the fog that's been built here in albany. so far i've not been able to get a comment from anyone, from the police department or the university this warning.
