is ktvu channel 2 news at 5:00. >> good evening. i am ken wayne. >> i am heather holmes. >> a boating accident in the delta, a boat airing three men -- carrying three men capsized. one man survived, one body is recovered and right now the search for the third man. ktvu's ken pritchett is live on the scene where he spoke with family members. >> reporter: while the names of the victims haven't been released a talked to a family member of one of the missing men, she came out here and she had a question that you would think would be easy to answer, was her cousin still missing in this dark water. the water of whiskey slew is not fast moving, not cold. this is where the accident

happened yesterday morning when a boat capsized. >> they were in a 12-foot aluminum boat, we are not sure as to the cause. >> reporter: one man made it to shore and then the search began for the other two men, one body recovered yesterday afternoon. today sheriff's boats used sonar and a drag line in the search for the missing man. it is taking place in full view of boating traffic. >> this is our second similar incident within a week. weed e monday morning very similar. the similarity wasn't only with the loss of life but a safety tool all of the victims failed to use. >> life jackets. there were enough life jackets for every person on the boat. they were floating in here. >> reporter: i talked to somebody here who says it was his understanding as the search

was going, they were three large men in a small boat, the boat has been recovered, they are going to look at the boat to determine if they can determine what the cause was for this accident independently. ken pritchett, ktvu channel 2 news. we are learning new information about the tragic growing of a three-year-old girl. she was found in a lagoon near her home yesterday afternoon. her father shared this pictures and says she had a twin brother. police say she likely wandered away on her own to the lagoon. police in oakland say a man who was killed last night may have been trying to break up a street fight before he died

around 10:00 p.m. police arrived at the scene, they found the victim's body lying in the street. witnesses said the driver of a white suv struck the victim and took off. the woman was detained and questioned, no charges have been filed yet. a funk raiser -- fundraiser for a 13-year-old boy who died during a road side accident involving a boat trailer. ktvu's cara liu is live where classmates gathered for support. >> lot of them were out here the entire day standing beyond the fence over there hoping to make one family's heart ache just a little easier. >> reporter: a simple lemonade stand. >> labor of love. >> reporter: behind the table was a lot of heart, a community

first thing tomorrow morning, areas of fog targeting the coast and the bay, starting out in the 50s. coming up the temperature change, tomorrow will be the coolest day of the week but i am tracking another warming trend. rodney king his 1991 police beating, has died. his fiance found him dead this morning in his swimming pool. >> i just want to say, you know, can we all get along. can we get along? >> reporter: that was rodney king in 1992 on the third day of the los angeles riots. today the man who once said he felt like he was an inch from death at the hands of the los angeles police is dead at the age of 47. rodney king's fiance calling 911 sunday morning, king was at the bottom of their swimming

dies he wants to be remembered for his statement. he was 47 years old. officials in colorado issued new evacuation orders for a subdivision in the path of the wildfire. 181 homes have been destroyed. the most ever lost in a wildfire there in colorado. the fire burned more than 55,000 acres west of fort collins and responsible for the death of a 62-year-oldumem. the fire -- old woman. in southern california, cal fire expects to contain the highland fire by midnight. it burned 2200 acres. no reports of damage or injuries and no word on what started the fire. police are warning of a scam using the promise of lottery winnings that may be targeting
