street. officials say two cars were torched and they will be looking for accelerants. this happened after a car fire last week and another on june 5th. this morning's case could be gain related. the fire department started at 8:30 at a home on vanderbilt street. firefighters had to force their way inside because there were bars on the windows. three people live in the home but fortunately nobody was hurt. time now 6:02 we found out a hayward officers got into some type of despite with a person on a bicycle not far from interstate 880, allie rasmus is there at the scene.

mistrial for a 10:00 hearing that will happen later this morning. however we he understand even -- we understand even if a mistrial is allowed, they can move forward with the testimony of the priest who was allegedly attacked by the man who accused him of molesting him when he was just a child. and the supreme court will meet for what will be the final week of their session. the healthcare reform law is among a handful of cases still remaining before the high ask court and the court's historic ruling could come down in the next few hours. also this week, they may decide the fate of the anti- immigration law.

channel 2 morning news, nine people are still not accounted for after a roof collapsed in canada in a mall. rescuers said they heard tapping in part of the rubble but the building was too unstable to enter at the time. rescuers do hope to stabilize the structure so they can search for victims. more than 20 other people were injured in that collapse. two people are feared dead after a freight train collided. it happened near the area of good well. in this sent and huge blume into the area. the company duck terrible managed to escape put two crew members are still missing. the oakland tribune said 90 police officer are on medical leave and that's one out of several police officers that

marshall is looking in the area and we have also learned somebody bought some gas just an hour before the 911 call came in. could they be responsible for the fire? a source of the investigation tells us this could be gang related and people spotted flames. somebody torched two suvs, one was parked up a car port. they are looking for accelerants and we spoke to a compass station attendant and he said it seemed strange. >> he buy gas, he had red skin and he put in $4.10. he told me his car is broke and i have no gas and he only had

they received the home video and you can see the fire gutted the place. still no word on how the fire started. we have learned a hayward police officer got into a dispute with a person on a bicycle. that is where allie rasmus is on the scene, allie? >> reporter: well if you are driving, you will not see any sign of what happened overnight. the street is back open to traffic and has been since 4:00 a.m. and in fact you can see the police tape is drop into the trash they owned in on what is happening in front of a liquor store and we are still waiting for detailed information from investigators but there appears to be some sort of struggle between a police officer and a person on a bike.

witnesses reported hearing gunfire at about 10:00 and when we arrived we could see more than a dozen evidence markers along with signs of a scuffle. crime lab investigators headed that bicycle as part of their investigation this morning and we believe the taser appears to have been dropped on the ground and the taser's cable is extended around partially wrapped around the police car. we don't know what his or her condition is this morning but according to one of the officers, this strip mall is in an unincorporated part of hayward so it is the alameda sheriff's office doing the investigators, and we have put in calls to pay ward police to get information been the chain of the events, allie rasmus, ktvu channel 2 morning news.
