five people were shot right outside of a movie theater. christian captain is there and some of the witnesses are describing a lot of chaos, what happened christain? >> reporter: oakland police are trying to put it together and they are still trying to find the suspects in this case and the shooting happened right here in front of the jack london theater and this is the cinema and the shooting happened right here in the middle of washington street. witnesses tell police there was a flurry of gunfire. >> all i can tell you is five people were struck by gunfire and so far nobody has life- threatening injuries and there is nobody in custody. >> the shooting started at 9:20 hitting a total of five people, one required surgery and he is now in stable condition.

three victims were taken to children's hospital in private vehicles. when the shooting started there was a crush of movie patrons all trying to get out of the theater at once. >> the doors were so congested people were getting trampled and it was a really bad thing to happen. >> reporter: now we are still trying to get more clarity on this, we have not even any bullet holes on the side of the theater, and we are hooking to find out if there was a suspect in oakland police and as we get that information we will be sure to pass it live to you. police are out there looking for a man who caused a shooting which handed out side of the parking lot of the 24

hour fifth necessary club on east 14 street. the gunman fired several shots but there was no sign of gunman or any gunshot victims when police got there. they are still not clear if anybody was hurt but the gunman was seen running towards a certain area. they helped to detain a stolen car suspect after police showed up right outside their door. they were outside on international boulevard. search services were in progress when all of this happened and the suspect ran inside. >> we heard a loud sound and the gentleman ran inside the church and was trying to get away from the cops and the man

it happened on washington street. all five of the victims are expected to survive. police continue to search for suspects. a house fire hazardous placed one man and investigators are trying to figure out how it started. lorraine blanco joins us from the scene with a closer look at the damage, lorraine? >> reporter: well, pam, now that it is daylight, you can see how badly the home was burned. here at the entrance the flames were so high he could not use the door so instead he broke a back window and jumped out. a single story home on hillside, the house was fully engulfed but the home is a total loss and getting out for the victim was quite a struggle. >> he was trying to get out, going to the front door, turned

around went to the back door, it would not open and knocked out a back window, security release and he climbed through the window. >> you can see the victim was treated and released. he just told me he was headed to the hospital to get stitches on his feet. the cause of the fire is under investigation. back out here the front door is on his lawn and there is nothing salvageable from the house. luckily there were a few things he was able to grab that he needs in the back of the home but this morning he says, you know he will try his best to be grateful he is alive and stay positive, lore rain blanco. a young woman was fatally shot when an off-duty's gun went off as she was hugging
