the 88. police officers have surrounded a motel. more on what is going on. >> good morning. oakland police investigating a possible homicide after a woman was found dead inside a motel room. this is the starlight motel here in oakland. you can see crime scene tape has gone up. investigators have been here collecting evidence up in that room. the 9-1-1 calls came in about an hour ago. officers arrived and found a woman inside one of the upstairs rooms and she was unresponsive. there was a man who was here trying to give cpr to that w

oman. the woman was pronounced dead inside motel room. her death is suspicious. >> we have homicide investigators looking into it. they're going to go from there and make a determination. there was evidence in the room that indicative that there was something else, we're leaning towards a homicide. >> reporter: oakland police investigators out here at the scene. the starlight motel. they have been questioning some of the questions in the n eighboring rooms to determine if anyone saw anything. police not releasing an identity on the woman but saying they believe she is an oakland resident. we are live in oakland. a substitute teacher has been arrested and charged with child molestation. police say he had sex with two

killed. he had just started an internship at the oakland fire department. there's a crime stopper reward for up to $10,000 for information leading to an a rrest. witnesses say they heard multiple gunshots and saw two to four people running in hoodies. it was quite a scene in oakland last night. police through a flash bank into a home on birch and cherry streets. police were reportedly looking far shooting suspect. he was not there during the r aid. happening now, a wildfire burning in the sierra foothills forced two dozen people to evacuate. the fire started about 3:30 yesterday afternoon, about 40- miles northeast of auburn.

triple-digit temperatures, low humidity and dry conditions caused it to spread quickly. it is just about 20% contained. overnight fires at a concord high school may be the work of an arsonist. no major damage was reported, but firefighters did have to break a gate to get to the fire. no word of any arrest. time now is 4:35. oakland's largest medical marijuana dispensary is rallying threatening to shut it down. they will hold a conference with city leaders at 9:00 this morning. they threatened to seize the property this week. medical marijuana is legal under state law but not federal law. looks like the courts will have to settle a $30 million dispute involving the 49ers.

along party lines to repeal the law. the san francisco public library is launching a new program to help keep teenagers out of trouble this summer. enlisting the help of 17 teenagers to build a new youth center at the library. it's part of an effort to get teenagers off of the streets. it's helped 4200 young people find summer jobs. 4:46 is the time now. talking about that problem along highway 37, that could pose a problem if it's not cleared. right. i'm looking at it here. the problem may have been already cleared or significantly reduced for traffic. there's no impact 37 near marsh. let's go outside and look at what we have on the east shore
