inchallenges -- are the challenges. >> complete bay area news coverage starts right now, this is ktvu channel 2 news at 5:00. >> i am ken wayne. >> i am heather holmes. >> developing news. investigators are at a hotel in livermore after a body was found today. ktvu's ken pritchett is live at the hotel where officials say this death is suspicious. ken? >> reporter: the police have been at this hotel all day long. if you look at the parking lot you can see the crime scene tape is up, blocking the parking lot. talked to police a half hour ago, they are investigating but cannot yet say what the cause of death is in this case. >> reporter: police could be seen putting up crime tape outside, sections off the parking lot but mest of the work -- most of the work was inside the hotel. he is staying here. >> i looked in the hallway and

they had rooms marked off. >> reporter: police say it was a hotel worker who discovered the man and called 911. >> police came. there was a white male in one of the hotel rooms. >> police haven't yet identified the man. the crime tape, tape, the police raise questions for guests at the hotel. including these people. she says her attempt to get answers failed. >> we didn't know what was going on. they wouldn't tell us any information. >> reporter: police are calling this suspicious death a process of investigating. there is no obvious signs of death. they will wait for the coroner to arrive to make that determination. they are asking for the

public's help with identifying that man. ken pritchett, ktvu channel 2 news. a officer involved shooting has come to an end and we were there. coming up in 10 minutes, more of this video of the man's arrest. police are asking for the public's help to find a gunman who opened fire on a teen. the shooting hit the man in the leg at 2:45 a.m. in the morning. the victim is expected to recover. police have no suspected. they will take anonymous phone or texas message -- text messages. >> police are investigating shootings that injured two men. the first happened at 12:40 a.m. this morning. the second happened an hour later. one man was shot and taken to

the hospital. he was unacooperative and they are not releasing details about his condition. the first victim is in stable condition and he was allots involved -- also involved in a car crash. happening now, the fight over the closure of a elementary school is heating up again. ktvu's janine de la vega is at the school where protesters say they are having a celebration. >> reporter: we are at a park across the street from lake view elementary school. behind me you can see all the people. once they clear out parents you see here, these are all parents that were kicked off campus two weeks ago and they are reorganizing tonight to take back the school.

they have been camping out since june 15, protesting the closing of 5 elementary schools. but school police cleared them out saying they were trespassing. the parents are trying to figure out how to block this from happening. >> it is getting stronger. so i hope the board and tony smith pays attention. they are -- the battle might be won but the long term battle lost. >> i don't know. the district has put up a fence to prevent them from coming on campus. two police cars are also on guard. the district maintains they must close the schools to save money. tonight it will be a celebration of all the support demonstrators have received and

millions of people are struggling to find a job but it is young people who are hurting the most when it comes to unemployment. statistics show the jobless rates is more than twice the national average for 16-20 years. >> reporter: at 19 years old she endured plenty of heartship. >> house went through for-- hardship. >> house went through foreclosure. >> reporter: after three years of bouncing around tomultiple home -- to multiple homes, her living situation took a toll. she was forced to drop out of high school to help support her

family. the unemployment rate for 16-24- year-olds is double the 8.2% unemployment rate nationwide. in this economy they are competing against more experienced workers also looking for a job. with no job, she is working towards getting her ged. the economy with the lack of federal funds is making it tougher for young people to find work. many governments also facing tight budgets are left to find creative ways to support their youth. >> reporter: she was hired through a youth jobs program. >> this is what i like to do. gives me experience to show me how things work. >> reporter: federal stimulus money ran out in 2010.

people together to focus on funding for aids programs. they raised $77 million over the past 26 years. police say officers arrested four gang members running from the scene of a fight. happened last night. officers spotted a car leaving the scene with the lights off. they stopped the vehicle and a search turned up evidence of gang affiliation. some much needed financial help is keeping one of the premier skateboarding parks open. ktvu's christien kafton is live in san jose where one of the world's top skateboarders stoped by. >> reporter: a year ago it was close to financial ruin but now thanks to hard work and
