having sex with two girls, aged 15 and 16. daniels was a substitute teacher around the assistant football coach at vintage high school in napa. a court hear something set for those accused of abusing mentally disabled adults. investigators say they were living in squalid conditions and were malnourished. one victim was held virtually captive for ten years, often going without his medication. two dozen dogs were rescued. in just a few hours, the san carlos school board will meet to consider about whether to place a bond measure. the proposal would raise about $72 million. the money could help fund renovations, ease overcrowding and update technology in

this morning. now we know two people were inside sleeping when the fire started. jana katsuyama is in the studio to tell us more. >> well, if they escaped the flames, and it's all thanks to the dog. vallejo fire crews say a man and a woman were inside this house on the 300 block of if sea wind drive, they managed to get out in time. crews say winds up to 25 miles an hour were fanning the flames. that put neighboring homes in danger. people nearby were forced to leave until crews were able to get that fire under control. and the captain told me about 15 minutes ago that it appears that the fire might have started in the attic. right now, the fire marshal is out there trying to figure out the cause of the fire. crews say the house is a loss. certainly the couple who live there has to be thankful that

their dogs week them up and everyone got out safely. firefighters say there were no injuries. back to you. >> thank you. we're also tracking developing news from sunnyvale. a home invasion suspect has been cup churred and -- captured and taken into custody. tara moriarty is there now with more on the investigation. >> well, police got a 911 call around 4:00 this morning. some residents on this street saying that people were trying to break into their home. they were on florence street. it's near mckinley park. we watched as authorities if led one man april way in handcuffs. we're being told he was found hiding in a backyard and a search dog found him. he was taken away in an ambulance. he could be seen limping. so we're not sure if the dog bit him or he twisted his ankle. we understand that the two men
